That really cheered me up David, so glad you talk to him. He rates his exposure on the site and I'm sure he was pleased someone was taking notice.

I don't usually quote from the Daily Star but this time it's justified. Their front page headline this morning reads: Mad Vlad `Dying of Cancer' and story suggests he is dying from bowel cancer. I quote it because The Times on Saturday stated that US intelligence officials believe he's ill and that it accounts for his puffy face in present photos. They think he's taking steroids which can cause side effects of paranoia and other mental disturbances.

Thousands of people have taken part in a pro-Russia demonstration in the Serbian capital of Belgrade. The march, on Friday, was a show of support for Moscow after its invasion of Ukraine. The BBC caption to a video says `Serbia has religious, ethnic and political ties with Russia that have existed for centuries'. We already know that trouble has started up again in that part of Europe too.

This is a potted history of the relationship between Putin and the West since his rise to the presidency on the last day of 1999...

You were right first time. The 'diagnosis' in other reports was from a retired admiral giving a speech at his former school. He went further.
He said his damaged immune system forced him to sit at a 30 foot table to avoid close contact with people.

A person with no medical training says - from looking at a couple of photos, that Putin has cancer

I see no correction when today he is pictured in very close proximity to a large number of flower bearing young ladies - who all looked terrified. I'm taking no notice at all of any figures produced in news reports at the moment. From either side.

Amazing what passes for news. It will be nuns wearing ammunition boots next! I am in your corner David, I don't believe any speculation or amateur comment. The only journalists worth listening to are the old ones..... In fact they are the only ones left.

No, just trying to be a fully paid up member of the Tory Party with the prospects of getting a Knighthood.

Ministers are now agitated and criticising P&O Ferries for paying a fraction of the minimum wage but surely they should have known this long ago. Wouldn't the union have been pressuring the government about it years ago?

That's the problem isn't it David, he isn't able enough to take the right course and tell the truth about it. He blunders into a situation and when he finds he has backed the wrong horse he starts lying about it until it goes away.
His lackeys aid and abet him in these efforts because without his patronage they would not have a job. Notable that the really big beasts in the Cabinet don't support BJ, they just sit on their hands and wait to see what happens.....

from The Guardian

"It was reported that removal vans had been seen in Downing Street yesterday and that Murty and the two children would live at their west London home with Sunak remaining at No 11 during the working week".

There's talk of 'resignation' on the Sky Press review.

Methinks they'll be applying for their Green Cards back soon, and re-starting plan B.

I get 0.1% on my savings. Something not quite right here.

I heard that report as well David. When I went to University as a mature student I got a full grant and support for my family. Funny how it was possible then but not now as we are doing so well according to the Tories.
As for the disparity between interest charged and interest paid.... I think you know the answer to that one David, someone has to support the bankers!

He's an extreme case and is evidently holding out for better wages and conditions than our battered labour force have been brainwashed into accepting. He is right of course to wonder why we accept it.

A 'comment' fron another website.
Many are nonsense, many I dont 'get' but some are gems. Just as relevant with the swear word taken out.

The Elizabeth Line opened today. It cost about £18bn, is 70-odd miles long, including 23 miles of deep underground tunnels beneath central London, and was Europe’s largest engineering project for over a decade. At its peak it employed 50,000 full time workers. It was 13 years or so in the making. You can see it from space.

Covid Test & Trace cost about £37bn, cannot be seen from anywhere, lasted for about a year, did not work properly, and is now gone. Where’s the money?
