Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow. Don't walk behind me, I
may not lead. Just walk beside me and be my friend.

Electrophorus electricus.

Origin

Mid 17th century: from modern Latin electricus, from Latin electrum 'amber', from Greek ēlektron (because rubbing amber causes electrostatic phenomena).

When you solve something you have found a solution and when you dissolve Parliament it is a dissolution. So why is it that when you dissolve salt in water you form a solution and not a dissolution?

The words refer to different things. The result is a solution but the salt itself in its original form has been subjected to dissolution.
