Carole Midgely in The Times tells how she's been talking to an elderly lady who had her handbag stolen by a young guy while she was walking in the park. Midgley asked if there was much money in the bag and the lady replied: `No, he'll get a surprise, there was only the bag containing my dog's poo!'
