They have these here too and they are very effective camouflage, even in parkland in cities. A great idea.

It's in America somewhere I reckon and I have seen images of it before but can't just place it. Hang on, San Francisco, Alcatraz maybe?

I think it was included in the opening credits of "The Streets of San Francisco" (Karl Malden and Michael Douglas) cop series.

Just checked this YouTube link and I was right! Very short clip but it must have stuck in my memory.

Another quick one - you're both getting too good at this! :smile: Yes, Oriel Chambers, Water Street, Liverpool, built 1864 of cast iron construction. The architect a local man, Peter Ellis. Oriel Chambers Detailed history: History

I just looked up oriel window and I was surprised to see that in fact I've got two - one front and one back. Good to know what it's called. :smile:

PS The bottom story doesn't look perpendicular to me - or is it the camera?
