A manifold for central heating installation?
By the way, a message for Kev: Your suggestion some time ago of shower caps was exactly right. Because Covid precautions had such a disastrous effect on the hotel industry, a new market was sought for shower caps, and that's when I discovered they were being used for covering food dishes.

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
No Ian. You need another clue. It's a watchdog and will tell you immediately if there is a particular fault by stopping the loom.

Does it let you know if the fabric isn’t flat or make sure that the fabric is kept flat?

You're very close Gloria. Not the fabric, it is sensing something else....

He's done it, come in late and scooped the prize. Yes it's a weft fork, have a look at THISYoutube video to explain it.

Sorry, Glo can have the limelight!
I knew there was a stop motion for when the weft breaks but I've never seen one.

What can you tell me about the cross in this photo?

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
I suppose the man could be very small and all his furniture too! But yes, the cross is very big - but it's not in Ireland.

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
I think it's an attempt at a replica of a Celtic Cross in a studio or perhaps in its finished location. The decoration of the cross isn't right and I think the man is only there for scale. I'd guess at America for the country and a religious building connected to an Irish Saint for location. How about St Patrick? (There is an air of it being the Hollywood version....)
