I suspect the connection to steam is in the name Budenberg who were famous for their pressure gauges used on steam engines. Worthy of a Times crossword clue. Well that's another brain cell used up.

Thanks David.... See THIS. It's built on the site of the old Budenberg gauge company at Broadheath near Altrincham. And yes, the connection with steam engines was via the gauges.
As for the new object... I don't know so will guess.
It's obviously a sculptural representation of the split between Taiwan and the Chinese mainland....

It's in the grounds of Kings College Cambridge - I was in there to renew my 'residents card' which is about to run out. It costs me £10 and lasts for three years. It is available to local residents who live within a 12 mile radius of Great St Mary's Church in the Market Square. Good saving on the £9 standard admission.

They say the poem is as well known in China as Wordsworth's Daffodils and the place is one of pilgrimage for Chinese visitors. Not a lot of people know that.

No but they frequent more on threads that have a lot of replies. Just compare a thread with no replies to those that have many and you will see the difference the bots make.
