Looks somewhat like a Weaver Birds nest, but ofcourse they are not mammals.

Possum? Not sure how that relates to a lead dressing tool but it's the only small Australian mammal I could think of :biggrin2:

I had to look up a list of Australian possums but I've found it. A good clue there Stanley, never heard of one of them.
