Sorry all of you, I forgot to knock it on the head! Have a look at THIS and click on the spoiler!
It's for shaping pieces of aluminium to record the variations in posture over time. Go read the letter!
Sorry about that one, far too obscure.

It's a Donald Trump (it's got a screw missing)

It looks familiar, either we've seen it before or I should know what it is.

No sorry. One crucial aspect of it is that the core is made of wood and the whole thing is re-usable.

Sorry no, nobody is anywhere near. This surprises me, I thought you'd be straight on to it. You need another clue!

Total guess. you've mentioned Lancashire boiler fire tubes several times so it could be a swaging tool for expanding the tube ends into the boiler frame.

Nowhere near as complicated as that Gloria. Look at it. What is it? The fact you are talking about cores and copes shows you know what it is. Step back and think again.

The casing doesn’t look like it’s been subject to heat, the wooden bit possibly does.
Is it attached to the end of a vibrator to remove sand from castings?

I don't understand why but you are stalled Gloria. It is a foundry pattern for making a sand mould. What for and why is part of it metal?

It's a pattern! I'm pretty certain we have it before. To make moulds for casting oilers of some sort.

Thank god, Yes China,It's a pattern for making a lubricator. The lubricator part is in cast iron because it wore well when making multiple castings.
