We watched the highlights this morning, reclining in bed with Toast and Vegemite. The full service will be on later this morning on just one channel I believe, but we have seen the best bits, so won’t be watching.
They had a nice day for it...

First snooker with an audience on BBC2. Beats a funeral any day in my book.

That made me smile.
Mrs P was slightly disappointed that she didn't see the coffin being lowered into crypt. I'm not sure what she was expecting, possible something like Wallace and Gromit. Wrong Trousers.
As Sue says 'each to their own' personally I'm too sentimental on these occasions and start thinking about all the people that I have known and have now passed away.

I start thinking about my own funeral...... :biggrin2: Like Philip I have it all arranged for the least possible fuss and expense. It's paid for as well!
TV yesterday was F1 quali and race and a spell watching my hero Ronnie playing quite badly at the Crucible. He won in the end I think.

We have watched the first two episodes of Viewpoint, which is in every night this week, looking good, worth a catch up.

I think that tonight's Line of Duty is the last in this series. That means I can go onto catch up and have a binge.
Today, snooker and F1 will be sufficient.

F1 was too late so I took in 3 episodes of Line of Duty back to back and enjoyed it. They all look older, can the fans really be expecting another series? I'll watch F1 on catch up tonight.

I watched some of the final episode of Line of Duty last night. Forced myself would be more accurate. I note it was season / series 6 which must mean there have been about thirty previous episodes. Have they really been shouting at and shooting each other for so long?

It seems the whole population is engrossed in the thing, and I didn't want to be left out.
I really didn't expect to understand it - and didn't. Even reading about it today has produced no more clarity. I don't think the people who claim to explain it understand it either.

I see all boxes were ticked, as usual, but I think I'll stick to '24Hours in Police Custody' for my future police dramas.

I decided I'd watch a couple of episodes of Line of Duty but it got so exciting I watched all four and ended up going to bed at 22:00. Two hours later than usual. I think I shall survive. Definitely leaving the door open should they want to do another series. I enjoyed it.
Managed to watch F1 Portuguese race in the afternoon instead of going for a walk in the cold wind and rain. C4 made me go through a registration process that took half an hour. I suppose they want us all down on record for when they start charging for catch up.

I watched the last two episodes of Line of Duty to make sure I hadn't missed anything. I am still convinced they have left enough open to have another series.....

We've been watching it too, I remember going there in a wagon when some of it was the 'waiting' area for the Tesco distribution warehouse that's next to it. If my memory serves me well, there was a 'bacon butty van' just beyond the remaining bit of banked circuit. This would have been about 20 years ago.

The Spanish Grand Prix last night was one of the more interesting races. A good battle between Lewis and Max. Just 1000 spectators allowed......

Just watched quite a bit of this Nae Pasaran

Quite inspiring really. Hard to forget that Pinochet was close to Mrs Thatcher.

Fancy getting the Order of Bernardo O'Higgins.

My brother suffered from some nerve damage to his legs which made his legs and feet very painful. The Consultant did some electric conductivity test by clamping terminals to his toes and upper thighs and then assessing the conductivity through the nerves. After this agonising test my brother asked the Consultant if he was related to General Pinochet. It didn't go down very well.

I watched two episodes of the CBS show '60 Minutes'. They were archival shows about Bernie Madoff made at the time he was arrested. I knew what he had done but even so found the programmes riveting. The scale of the deception is frightening.
