Thanks Ian. I'll wait. I follow the plot better if I can watch the episodes consecutively.

I should correct and say each episode is first released on IPlayer and then it is on normal TV channel a few day later, Saturday nights I think. If you need to binge you will have to wait as you say.

Watched the final season of Bosch, on Prime last night. A good adaptation of the Michael Connelly novels :good:

A new series of Canal Boat Diaries starts tonight at 7.30pm on BBC 4, always a pleasant and gentle watch with no celebrities in sight.

I think it's on all week Stanley. Last night he travelled from Wigan to Burnley so I imagine tonight's trip will be very local.

There was mention, a few months ago, that they were filming in the Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre/Mcculloughs Bar on Rainhall Road for the Canal Diaries programme.

If you'd rung up relatives and told them to watch 'that Barlick place I'm always going on about' - I think you'd be entitled to be a bit disappointed. :laugh5:

PS Speakng of canals, I was looking at a video on Youtube of my childhood local one yesterday, which I think would make a nice picture.

Watched the first two of the canal boat series, it was fun spotting familiar places. It’s like going somewhere by train, a whole new vision is seen.

I watched 2 in a row last night having missed Tuesday's. Wonderful to see the big working barges on the Aire Calder Navigation. It will be interesting to see the trip from York to Ripon.

I was on the Aire and Calder with him last night.
What struck me is that instead of a DIY series done with Go-Pro, if they had invested in doing it properly this could have made a really good in-depth series about the North of England.

But then they would have to get a celebrity to do it! :biggrin2:

Oh goody! I always had a soft spot for her and she was the one who, with Mick Aston, injected the solid archaeology into the programme. Otherwise, as Mick Aston said once, there was too much 'pratting about'!

I watched Dig 1 last night and it's brilliant! Just like it used to be in the old days before Tony Robinson developed into a 'presenter' and started bouncing round like a Duracell bunny being 'funny'. (Do you remember him being pulled up by Phil over his 'joke' about Phil's doctorate?) And that wally from the fens who sounded authoritative on everything but was surprised to find in Manchester that you could date a building from the type of mortar.
All the old faces are there and Carenza has aged well! I am a happy bunny!
