When was the last time you looked Stanley? As far as I am aware they are all pretty well finished down there.

This is here because I've forgotten where it is. The Caption reads 'Manchester Road 1910'. Is it Burnley?

A World War 2 Emergency Water Supply sign in Burnley. Once a common sight, directing the fire brigade to sources of water for fire-fighting, they have slowly faded and are now a forgotten corner.

Here's an obscure forgotten corner for you. This image is of the wall of a shearing shed at Eumalga Station, Dubbo, NSW where my dad was brought up. The perforated tin cladding is 'Lysarght's Colonial Ceiling', made in South Wales and exported to colonies in the tropics where it was a cooler alternative to a boarded ceiling. Definitely a forgotten corner!

Wellhouse Mill yard in 1963. This had always been 'spare' land after the building of the mill and was used for a variety of activities. In this image it is mainly a car park but shortly afterwards was tidied up and apart from Fairchild's monumental masons in the far corner opposite the gas works, was empty. This may have been because the Showmen's Guild of Great Britain had leased it and it was used for the Barlick annual fair. I think this arrangement came to an end when Silentnight bought the mill. The fair now uses Victory Park.
