Gosh, Ian, that really was terrible.

No excuses for that nasty behaviour, I've now changed my opinion. Thanks.

And clearly, you have done well in life. Being so involved in this website is another huge achievement for you.

Really interesting thread(s) here.
Pretty much all of the kids in the photo are the younger siblings of my class - I left for secondary school in1963. I also knew Liz Houldsworth very well from her short spell at Skipton Girls High School. I even corresponded with her after her move to Oz somewhere like “Rosebud” Victoria if my brain serves me correctly!
Also interesting about the short parade of shops near the school gates .... my mother had the shop on the end nearest the school selling cooked meats etc but diversifying into sweets, ice lollies etc for obvious reasons. Also at Ermysted’s with Nigel’s brother John and indeed visited their house in Bracewell a few times ... funny old world!

You must be a couple of years older than me then Willy. I left Gisburn Road for secondary school in 1965. Hence why we are not on any photo's together.

Lot of names and very happy memories - The Roger Yates I initially mentioned weirdly was the next door neighbour to Liz Houldsworth at The Beeches!

Isn't that nice to hear, kids enjoying school. Good luck to her!
