Post by PanBiker »

Changes to the UK Data Protection Act which come into effect today Friday 25th May 2018 have prompted the administration team to review how we use information supplied to us by members of the site.

To this end we have added a new Privacy Policy for the site which all members should read.

You can find the policy in the site announcements or by clicking here: Privacy Policy

We've just come back from holiday and when we switched on the PC and downloaded email we had a flood of messages from all sorts of organisations triggered by the GDPR. Take care when you receive such messages because malicious scammers are sending out their own versions booby-trapped with web links, for instance suggesting you click the link to `restore' or `continue' your association or membership with them. The GDPR has handed them a wonderful way to harvest more data, infect more computers and make more money!
