Where's the grater part?
Can't handle any more, I'm off to bed.
I know I'm in my own little world, but it's OK... they know me here. :)

Chinatyke got it, with help along the way from Cathy. It's a cheese grater in two parts. Grate cheese on the lid and the bits fall into the lower part. The recessed end is where you hold it with your other hand and it works well. It's made by Valira and we've had it at least 25 years; I can't find it on the Web. Here it is Cathy - if I'd put this photo on it wouldn't have been a mystery object! :extrawink:

What is the white item?

Is it part of a washing machine or a tumble drier?

Is it a divider for something such as a vegetable tray in a fridge?

Is it to remove ice from the walls of the freezer compartment?
Scrap that. It is too big.
A moisture collector in your fridge? To be pulled out and emptied now and then...
If it is, I don't have one of those.

It was the shape that gave me the idea but it was just a guess. I don't think I've ever seen one, and certainly never owned one.

Lump of ambergris wrapped up in a Aldi food bag to preserve the aroma. Not to be sniffed at.

Not ambergris, Plaques. Not meant to be a face, Cathy - but who knows, perhaps there's someone in there trying to get out! :extrawink:

Not alabaster (gypsum) or rosin. Perhaps it was Yorick that Cathy was seeing. And before anyone asks, no, it's not a piece of solidified Brexit!
