If any of you haven't seen this TV programme then take note of the 4 episodes here...
`Age of the Image' LINK
(Note that the four episodes shown across the web page are in reverse chronological order - start with the one on the right.)
Documentary series in which art historian James Fox explores how the power of images has transformed the modern world.
The filming and presentation are both excellent and James Fox is very easy to listen to.

I'd already noted that Tiz. At the moment I am revisiting Spooks, not as good as Line of Duty but not bad considering their age.

Not interested in the Nest, been there, done that and have the tee-shirt. Youtube and Spooks last night, completely shunned all news. I just get one dose in the morning, most of which is speculation.

You must not have read the program synopsis properly Stanley. Having read your life story, I don't think you ever engaged a surrogate for any of your children and certainly not one who may have had a seriously dodgy past :extrawink:

Killing Eve next series starts today but I think they have committed it straight to streaming on the BBC IPlayer. I think all the new series is available from 6am this morning is what I heard on a trailer last night.

Killing Eve is streaming on Iplayer and the first episode will be shown on TV on Sunday. Watched the first episode of DEVS last night, intriguing, second episode tonight.

Also watched Brassed Off, still one of my favourite films. Lost count of the number of miners rally's and pit closure protests we went to in the 80's.

We've never watched Killing Eve but have been talked into it. We are into series 2 episode 7 next. It's binge viewing, find it difficult to put down, never known anything keep the attention like it. If you haven't seen it, you really are missing something.

Not TV but Radio, Will Self on aborigine culture at 08:45 is worth listening to. He raises the interesting point that if any culture is to survive it could well be the aborigines of Australia who were successfully managing their world long before our ancestors started travelling and destroying the planet. Well worth listening to....

I noted a programme about false news by Ian Hislop last night. It was too late for me so I shall revisit it tonight. It may be a repeat but even so I always enjoy his contributions!

Forgot Ian! Watched an Aussie film, Mystery Road on BBC4, very good once you got into it.
Killing Eve is getting a bit too inscrutable for me! I'm having difficulty knowing what's going on.

Watched last episode of Mystery Road and it was good.
The Hislop programme on fake news was a repeat but nevertheless a good watch.
I watched The Factory which was on fruit and cereal bars. The main thing I got from it was a clear explanation of the origin of currants, raisins and sultanas and what the difference between them is. It's always puzzled me. Also a very good segment on why some nuts aren't nuts!
