The medication has worked, he's moving well and evidently enjoying life! A credit to you Wendy.
A showery day yesterday and a often gloomy. At 20:00 it was overcast and raining again. First thing this morning, calm, mild (55F) and light rain. We have just had our walk and it is still calm and not raining but gloomy. The glass is on 997mb. The forecast give us showers until 11:00 then a respite until evening and showers again. The mainly NW wind is very light all day giving a high of 16C and a low of 11C with negligible wind chill. The outlook for the next five days is for similar weather but Friday could see more rain. The good thing about this wet weather is that the ground is watered again and we have idea growing conditions for crops and gardens. Everything is looking very green again!

We settled down to a very pleasant afternoon but at 20:00 we had a light rain shower again. First thing this morning it was dry, calm and mild but evidence of a very light shower in the night. We have light steady rain at the moment, still calm. The glass is up a bit at 1002mb and rising very slowly. The forecast is heavy overcast and occasional showers all day. The wind will be a constant light easterly giving is 13C for the high and a low of 11C with minimal wind chill. The next two days are going to be wet and then we may move into brighter drier weather.
05:30. Back from an acceptable walk in light drizzle.

I don't think it'll change much during the day.
The flag has reappeared in Back Co-operative Street. This morning it's the Union flag......

No sun yesterday but at 20:00 it had cleared a bit, some clear sky, dry and a light breeze. God cried when I went out first thing to let Jack have a pee, it was just starting to rain, still raining now as I write. The glass is on 1007mb and falling slowly. The forecast is dead simple, heavy overcast and rain all day. We aren't going to get any favours from the wind, it is going to be a brisk SW wind gusting to 35mph giving a high of 14C and a low of 14C also with a -3C wind chill in the strong wind later. The outlook for the next five days is for similar temperatures but after tomorrow it could be drier and brighter. So a wet windy walk this morning!
06:00. Not as bad a walk as I thought, the wind hasn't risen yet and the rain was only a mizzle. So far so good!

Yesterday was wet. At 20:00 it was still raining and was the same first thing this morning, No change since, still light rain on the breeze. The glass is down on 1000mb. The forecast is dead simple, rain all day. The wind is a constant WSW giving a high of 15C and a low of 14C with a -2C wind chill all day. Tomorrow we can look forward to a showery day with sunny intervals and a strong wind, the rest of the week could be quieter, drier and brighter but don't look for heat waves. We needed rain, we have had it. Enough already!
05:40. The shipping forecast is confirming the strong winds tomorrow warning of gales. Here, today, we have a breeze and light rain. Not proper daylight yet and the distant views are very murky, not a cheerful morning.

Rain all day.... at 20:00 it was still raining and the wind was getting up. First thing this morning we had a strong mild wind and it was raining, the wind has risen further but it's stopped raining temporarily. The glass is down on 950mb. The forecast is for scattered showers and sunny intervals all day. The story is the unseasonable constant strong WSW wind which will gust to 50mph all day giving a high of 15C and a low of 10C with a -4C wind chill. It's roaring outside already. The outlook is for more unsettled weather. Deep Joy!
05:30. There is a mild variable wind witch gusts strong enough to unbalance you at times. Dry when we went out but a short sharp shower made me wish I had put my waterproof on. The trees are blowing about and small twigs and branches have come down. A broken slate in Co-operative street, glad that didn't hit me! The union flag is still flying and the pole is bending in an alarming manner. Otherwise, the town is Sunday morning quiet......

Showers all day and at 20:00 we had a violent wind and the heaviest rain I have seen for a while sheeting down. It was still raining first thing but less wind. I've just looked out and the overcast has broken and the rain stopped. The glass has jumped up to 1006mb and is still rising, a hopeful sign. The forecast is for heavy rain at first but then starting to brighten up and clear. The constant westerly wind is moderate and gives a high of 15C and a low of 10C with a -3C wind chill. A better day. The outlook is for a colder wetter day tomorrow but after that the start of a slow improvement.
05:30. We went out for our morning walk under a largely clear bright sky but as soon as I got a good view to the west I saw that a solid bank of cloud was rolling in. Yes, we got caught in a shower but got in before the worst hit. It is now dark and raining hard. By the way, the heating has kicked in and I am back in a thick shirt. Deep Joy!

London was windy on Sunday , overcast to bits of warm sun on Monday, typical Wimbledon weather even if we are in the more recent later 2nd week of non-tennis. Blackberries the end ones the bees always get to first have swollen and ripe for picking.

That could well be the case Ian, you are right, a bonus.
Yesterday ended sunny and quite pleasant though cool. At 20:00 it was dry bright and broken cloud with less wind. This morning it is calm, cool dry and we have high broken cloud. the glass has risen to 1017mb. The forecast is for it to be dry and bright but cloudy until late morning then rain sets in for the rest of the day. The constant WSW wind will be light and gives a high of 13C and a low of 10C with a -2C wind chill. The outlook is for it to slowly become a bit warmer and dryer all week but nothing exciting.
05:40. A far better walk this morning, it's dry, we have a light west wind and low sun but I fear the cloud may defeat that soon, there is a lot of broken cloud.
What caught my eye is that Petty's estate agents seems to have morphed into Keenan's. The end shop in Station Chambers is having a frontage repaint and is being prepared for the new business.

The rain came in early, only light and by 20:00 we had a grey overcast, light breeze and it was dry and cool. First thing this morning calm and light drizzle and it's still the same. The glass is down on 1009mb. The forecast is for it to be dry but overcast all day. The change is in the wind, it's a constant moderate easterly giving a high of 15C and a low of 11C with a -1C wind chill. Slightly warmer and the outlook is for the slow improvement to continue.
05:55.
A very acceptable walk round Valley Gardens. Calm, dry, cool and 100% overcast but some encouraging breaks in the north and the east where our weather is coming from. Things could be worse.
I note that after a long period of decline, Happy Duck Interiors and Amelia's attic on Church Street are empty. I sympathise with anyone who has an idea, backs it and then fails. It must be very disheartening.

Very acceptable yesterday but not exciting. At 20:00 we had heavy overcast and rain. Same first thing this morning and still the same, steady serious rain. The glass is down a touch on 1007mb. The forecast gives rain lasting until about 09:00 and then overcast for the rest of the day. The constant ENE wind is moderate and gives us a high of 13C and a low of 10C with a -2C wind chill. Not summer weather yet! The outlook is again for gradual improvement but nothing to make you want to break the sun block out. Heating is on at a very low level......

The weather man is saying the temperatures are a TAD low for the time of year. The average UK July temps are...
Across the UK, July temperatures average a daily high of 21 degrees Celsius (70 degrees Fahrenheit) and a low of 12 °C (53 °F).

So tad in this context means 30% down. Lord help us if it becomes extreme. :laugh5:

Light rain came in at 16:00 and at 20:00 we had mizzle. First thing this morning we had light rain which has stopped now and I can see the moon because the cloud has broken. That's a first in what seems like a long while! The glass is up slightly on 1010mb. The forecast is for bright overcast with sunny intervals with the chance of an isolated light shower late afternoon. The wind has shifted and is a constant WNW, light to moderate giving a high of 15C and a low of 9C and a -2C wind chill. A slight improvement and the outlook is for that to continue for a while. (Nice to see the moon!)
05:40. A better walk. Cool, dry and calm. Cloud in the east blocks the sun but large clear patches coming in on the light west/north west wind give a promise for later. Cold enough to bring the CH in at low level (thermostat set at 18C).

A slightly better dry day yesterday. First thing this morning it was clear, calm and cool with a good moon. We've had our walk and there is scattered cloud now but with good breaks. When we wet out we had low sun coming in under the clouds in the east but the cloud has won. Still clear, calm and cool. The glass is up again on 1020 and rising. The forecast is for a dry day with bright overcast and sunny spells almost any time. The wind is a constant westerly tending to WNW, light to moderate giving a high of 16C and a low of 7C with a a -2C wind chill. The outlook for the next five days is another bright day tomorrow and then reverting to cooler cloudier weather with a chance of showers. Not high summer but acceptable.

A very pleasant sunny afternoon. At 20:00 we had a light breeze, broken cloud and it was dry but cool. Same first thing this morning but a clear sky and a good moon. Same now but with a bit of scattered light cloud. The glass rose slowly yesterday and is on 1024mb. The forecast is for sunny intervals all day. The wind starts very light and variable and swings round all points of the compass but settles down late morning to a light SW giving a high of 19C and a low of 12C with a slight wind chill. The outlook is cooler and showery for the rest of the week but then starting to warm up a bit.
05:45. Good walk on a calm morning under a clear sky apart from a bank of cloud in the east blocking the sun but by the time we got back the sun was above it and we have full sun now.
One unusual sight in the Pioneer car park, a solitary magpie, they are not common in the town centre.

It was very pleasant in the afternoon. At 20:00 we had broken cloud a light breeze and it was mild but dry. First thing this morning it was calm, almost clear, only a bit of scattered high cloud and we had a good moon. I've just popped out and we have increasing cloud coming in from the west, the moon as vanished. The glass is down on 1019mb and the forecast is for the cloud to increase and by 07:00 we have the chance of rain all day until early evening when it could brighten up a bit. The light to moderate westerly wind tends to SW and gives a high of 15C and a low of 10C, slightly better that was forecast yesterday. There will be a -2C wind chill most of the day. The outlook is for similar cloudy weather but gradually warming up as the week progresses.
05:30. A quiet pleasant walk. It is dry, calm and we have 75% light high overcast. I'm not sure but it seems to me there is slightly more traffic on the roads but still well below 'normal' levels.
06:00. Light rain came in.

Intermittent light showers all day. At 20:00 it was breezy, overcast but dry and mild. First thing this morning it was calm, dry and we had broken cloud. Since then the cloud has cleared, we now have a largely clear sky and good dawn light coming in from the east. The glass fell yesterday and is now on 1014mb. The forecast gives a dry day with early sun but then bright overcast for the rest of the day. A possibility of light showers in the evening. The constant moderate westerly wind tends to the NW at times and gives us a high of 14C and a low of 11C with a wind chill of -2C. The outlook for tomorrow is a similar day but heavier cloud and a chance of rain, after that it starts to warm up but mainly overcast.
05:30. A pleasant walk on a fresh, dry morning with a largely clear sky, some increasing cloud and at the moment the upper atmosphere wind is in the NW. We have low sun, it remains to be seen how long it will last.

Hardly any sun yesterday but on the plus side we had three dry walks. At 20:00 it was overcast, calm, dry and cool. First thing this morning it was the same with scattered high cloud. Since then the cloud has increased to 100% overcast and we have a light mizzle. The glass is down on 1010mb. The forecast is for rain in various amounts until early evening. The wind is a constant light to moderate westerly giving a high of 14C and a low of 12C with a chill of -2C. The outlook is for similar weather but dryer and next weekend we might possibly see some sun.

Boring weather and CH on at low level for much of the day. At 20:00 last night it was breezy, dry and cool. First thing this morning we had a light breeze and broken overcast but it was dry. Since then the sky has largely cleared and we have a slender crescent moon. The glass is up on 1014mb. The forecast is for a dry but overcast day. The wind is a constant light to moderate westerly giving a high of 17C and a low of 13C with a chill of -3C when the wind tends to the north. The outlook is for the weather to brighten but not as far as high summer.

Another rather boring day yesterday but boring is good when compared to extreme weather events! At 20:00 it was mild, dry. We had a light breeze and broken cloud. First thing this morning it was the same. The overcast is 100% now. The glass is up a shade on 1015mb. The forecast is again for a dry overcast day. The constant WSW wind is slightly stronger but never more than moderate. The high will be 18C and the low 14C with a -2C chill. The outlook is possible showers tomorrow but then brighter weather for the rest of the week but no blazing sun!
05:25. A pleasant walk, calm and overcast but we have low sun at the moment from a clear patch of sky in the east. I doubt if it will last.

Very balmy but overcast afternoon. At 20:00 we had broken cloud a light wind and it was dry. Same first thing this morning but now we have very light rain starting. The glass has moved back a touch to 1012mb. The forecast is for heavy overcast and light rain all day getting brighter this evening. The constant SW wind is moderate and gives a high of 15C and a low of 9C with a -2C chill. The outlook is drier but not a lot warmer.
Just had a video call with Margaret, she says they have 14C in Perth and also that Victoria has reported 500 Covid cases.
05:30. Surprisingly, a very pleasant dry walk. We are surrounded on all sides by heavy rain cloud but over the town itself a big area of high broken cloud with blue sky showing! A light mild wind and all told a very acceptable walk. I don't doubt that the forecast is right and we shall have rain shortly but sufficient until the day is the evil thereof.

The forecast was spot on yesterday. We got two dry walks in before 09:00 but after that it drizzled all day until 16:00.
At 20:00 we had a light breeze, a clearing sky and it was dry. First thing this morning we had a clear sky with some high scattered cloud. Still the same but perhaps a bit more clear. The glass is up slightly on 1014mb and rising slowly. The forecast is for a clear day with wall to wall sun. The constant light to moderate W/NW wind drops the temperature a bit giving us a high of 16C and a low of 8C with as much as a -3C chill. The outlook is for similar weather for the next five days.
05:15. Yes, an early short walk dictated by Jack who is having a bad morning. It's calm, dry and cool outside with broken cloud but clearing.

Nice day yesterday. At 20:00 it was mild, calmer and we had broken cloud. Didn't notice the cloud first thing, to busy dealing with Jack and his early morning pee. Just had a look out, it is calm clear and cool, good chance of early sun. (Have you noticed how the days are shortening?) The glass is up a touch on 1018mb. The forecast is for early sun but then sunny intervals in the overcast for the rest of the day, could be a chance of a light shower in the early afternoon. The wind is westerly and settles into a WNW trend as it increases from light to moderate as the day goes on. This gives a high of 15C and a low of 9C with a -2C chill. The outlook is still for similar weather for the next five days.
05:15. Another short early walk. Clear sky, light breeze and almost chilly. One man pursuing an erratic course across the Pioneer car park, he had a carrier bag and was drinking out of a can, somehow I don't think it was a soft drink. A large flock of seagulls circling over the car park, I don't know why but I don't like to see them gathering like that.

Sunny morning and cloudy afternoon but no sign of the shower they threatened. At 20:00 it was calm, cool, broken cloud and dry. Same first thing this morning. Just looked outside and it's clearer now, just a scattering of high cloud. he glass is up slightly on 1021mb. The forecast is a re-run of yesterday, a dry day, sun most of the morning then bright overcast and sunny intervals for the rest of the day. The wind is a constant light to moderate westerly not tending to the north and so we have a better high of 17C with a low of 11C with a -2C wind chill. The outlook is for very similar weather but a little less sun.
05:20. A good early walk. Cool, a light breeze and low sun coming in under the cloud in the east. Jack had a good run and is much improved so that means I feel better also!
