You're right Ken but it takes about ten years for it to happen on my highland potteries pint pots and I have 3 of them.

When you do an online shop with Morrisons - remember to check out when you finish. You can still add or delete up to 72 hrs before delivery. If you don't - they will think you have lost interest and you will lose your slot, and have to book a fresh one. The order is still there though which is handy.

No it's not! Wheelie baskets are great. Mrs Tiz used to have them but when we moved into the countryside all our shopping had to be done in big supermarkets in local towns using the car so they weren't needed. She's now looking to buy another one. There's no need to be frightened of a wheelie basket, nobody's going to think you're a namby-pamby! You can buy ones that look just like the modern lightweight wheeled suitcases.

You could say the same about, glasses, false teeth and hearing aids or any other item that makes life a little easier. I would also say that you can always get it delivered if push comes to shove. Get a milkman, that would help as well , no need to trip off to the Coop to buy milk in a plastic bottle. Ian Greenwood is your man, all done online. Costs a little bit more but you are maintaining a local supplier. Your butcher delivers so why not?

I have a wheelie thingy, but I don’t need it most weeks, as Febby takes me in the car ( a strike force we are...armed with a list and in/out as quick as can be)...but I have used it with no shame felt, if I go to the city. You get quite chuffed with it Stanley, after a while, because you are not limited if you decide to buy that little bit more. There is room in the trolley, easy enough to wheel home.it really is the way to go.

Re: HOUSEHOLD TIPS NOT FOUND IN WOMAN'S WEEKLY
One big heavy bag puts a strain on both your shoulder and spine an absolutely no no for people with bad backs. Splitting the load between two bags balances the load and stops your spine twisting but does not reduce the compression load and if its raining you now have to put one or both on the wet ground to unlock the door. The ultimate answer is Kev's trolley. Common sense really no load and easy to handle. What do I care what other people think?

Same reason they make you take a trolley in B&Q even if you only need a single washer or a few screws or any other small item. All the trolleys are sanitised when they are brought back from the parking slots in the car park.

Re: HOUSEHOLD TIPS NOT FOUND IN WOMAN'S WEEKLY
Bloody Hell!! I poked a stick in a hornet's nest there didn't I. All right I'll give in and consider getting one. At the moment I'm boracic lint due to reckless spending on castings. When my bank has recovered from the shock I'll do something about it.
Today's tip is this.
If, like me you have spent money on an optical punch to improve accuracy and have failed to get on with it, try this. The problem is that no light gets in to the work apart from through the viewfinder and that's not enough if you have bad eyes. Lifting the unit up on two parallels like this lets light in and it makes all the difference. Even better if you lay an LED torch on the surface to shine in. I played with it yesterday afternoon and found that the viewfinder with the central spot works best for me rather than the other which has cross hairs in it.

Today's tip is when your optical punch fails to deliver (as it did yesterday) just go back to an old fashioned punch.

Just because you enjoy something doesn't mean you have to go overboard! I ate too much tea last night and know all about it. Serves me right. You'd think that after 85 years I would have learned.... (Fat chance!)

Re: HOUSEHOLD TIPS NOT FOUND IN WOMAN'S WEEKLY
Wonderful how your body looks after you if you listen to it. I had no desire for food at all yesterday after over-eating the day before and today I am back on form.
So today's tip is an oldie. Listen to your body, it never lies.

My mind is racing this morning because of Jack's problems. Worst thoughts come to mind and I try to remember one of my dad's favourite sayings:- "Don't pee before your water comes!" (It's not helping much)

Re: HOUSEHOLD TIPS NOT FOUND IN WOMAN'S WEEKLY
I've learned something new this week, I now know about Vestibular Syndrome. (LINK)
Jack has escaped vomiting and rapid eye movements and is recovering slowly. Gillian agrees with me that a contributory factor is his last serious attack and possible brain damage but funnily enough, that might have protected him to a degree against the worst symptoms.
Today's tip, the best treatment is 24X7 TLC. Doesn't cost anything but time.
