It's been dry all morning. I have been for a walk and also to get a lemon and one sweet potato. I had a sit opposite the bookies and when I got home I decided to do one more task. I got my steps out and climbed on the draining board to clean the window and polish the curtain pole so my curtain glides shut! I was considering washing the curtains but then dismissed that. I have done enough for one day!

Ideally yes David but I am well equipped, have plenty of hand holds and am extremely careful..... Promise!.
I can see through the window now and the mental benefit of that is worth the effort. :biggrin2:

Yesterday afternoon deteriorated to gloom and rain. At 20:00 it was calm but we had light rain. This morning first thing it was calm, cold and clear, I've just looked out and it hasn't changed. The glass is up on 1022mb and rising. The forecast is for a mainly clear and sunny day. The Northerly wind is moderate and we have a high of 7C and a low of 1C tonight with a -4C chill later in the day. The outlook is for similar dry bright weather.

Yesterday it managed to stay dry and at 20:00 it was calm, cold and clear. Same first thing this morning but I have just looked out and found the start of alight shower of rain. The glass is on 1028mb and rising. The forecast is for a dry day with lots of sunny intervals. The NE wind is light to moderate and gives a high of 7C and a low of -1C with a wind chill of up to -4C depending on the strength of the wind. The outlook is for the weather to warm up during the week, look for double figures later!
Later at 05:30. We have had a light shower but it's stopped now and I can see the stars through gaps in the cloud.

Our Autumn weather is nice and mild here at the moment, warming up at the end of the week.

Adelaide experienced a 3.8 Earthquake this morning. Many thousands of people felt it with some reports saying they felt a shake, and others saying that it felt and sounded like a freight train was coming.
I didn’t feel or hear anything, it all happened at 7.30am and I was still asleep. :laugh5:

Luckily no damage has been reported.

It stayed dry yesterday afternoon but cold. Reports from Susan at Bowness that it was 'tropical'. At 20:00 it was calm clear and still cold. First thing this morning it was the same and frosty, it hasn't changed since. The glass is steady on 1026mb. The forecast is for sunny intervals clouding over later but bright. The constant ESE wind is light to moderate giving a high of 6C and a low of -1C with as much as -4C chill so it will feel cold all day. Rather like yesterday. The outlook is for the weather to warm up as the week progresses but perhaps staying dull most of the time.

Yesterday was proper warm in the sun. I took the opportunity to vac out the car and give it a going over with the jet wash. A bit like a tidy up before going to the doc's. It's in the garage on Thursday and I couldn't fer-fashion to take it with the winter detritus it had accumulated from muddy boots and grand children. :extrawink:

Yesterday it was cold in that wind and the sun deserted us. At 20:00 we had a breeze . a clearing sky and it was cold. This morning we are dry and breezy and still have that clear sky, it is cold. The glass is down on 1011mb and still falling. The forecast is for a clear day with good sun until the afternoon when it will cloud over and there is a chance of light rain later in the evening. The constant SE wind is brisk and gusts to over 30mph at any time during the day. That gives a high of 8C and a low of 5C but the devil is in the wind chill which can be as much as -6C. It will feel like -7C until after 09:00 so wrap up well when you go out. The outlook is for double figures for most of the week but overcast and more chance of light rain.

I've been out for a walk, some light veggie shopping and a sit opposite the bookies. Lovely in the sun as long as you have shelter from the breeze. If you haven't, it's bitter cold! (Or is it just me getting older?)

Yesterday was bright but cold in the wind. At 20:00 we had a clouded sky and a cold wind. First thing this morning it was less windy, cold and clear, it's still the same now. The glass is down a touch on 1008mb and the forecast is for a dry but overcast day. The moderate wind is from the south and gusts to over 30mph giving a high of 11C and a low of 8C with a -4C chill at times. A warmer day than of late and the outlook is for similar temperatures with unsettled weather.

I've just got back from me walk and bookie watch. At the same time I checked at the Well Pharmacy on my repeat prescription next week. Good job I did because it still hasn't been sent across from the surgery. I went to the surgery and they told me it was my fault...... it wasn't of course it was their incompetence. Hopefully it is sorted now......

I have to place an order, every two months, via the NHS app for repeats. It's usually at Whitworth's the following day. I did have a response once, in the app, that said the request had been rejected. Turns out the drugs were ready at the chemist and it was probably a 'fat fingered' typo.

I have repeat prescription that I order through the MyGP app. I get notified by Well when it is ready for collection, usually only two or three days after ordering via the app.
