A place where I go twice a year then pop in to see you. Dentistry pliers.. They usually hide them behind their backs before attacking you but now because they sneak up from behind you never see them.

Sorry not dental or mechanical. They are used by orthopaedic surgeons usually on spinal operations....

Yes we have had it before. And before Kev gets there its a warp twisters tool. I never understood what they did and how they worked.

Well done Ken! And yes, you're right. I have to confess I have never seen one used but I know what it is from this image of Warp Twisters at Butts Mill in 1880.

I was looking at some of these in some old rocks the other day

Holes hand drilled with a rose chisel then a wedge or drift is offered in and hit to split the stone

He's dead right of course, Holes for plug and feather splitting of stone. These stones were in the quarry on top of Noyna Kev.....
