Yesterday was another dull day with some spots of rain in the air but never getting on with it. At 20:00 it was calm cool and overcast. It was the same first thing this morning and since then there has been a few spots of rain but again, never getting on with it. The glass is up a touch on 1027mb and steady. The forecast is (guess what!), overcast but dry. The constant NE wind is light giving a high of 7C and a low of 0C tonight with a wind chill of -2C. The 6 day outlook is unchanged, could get colder over the next four days but brighter as well. Not March coming in like a lion!
05:00. We have light rain which wasn't on the hymn sheet!

I heard one of the forecasters mention a possibility of snow for the next few days Wendy.....
Yesterday was another overcast day with rain in the air for most of the day but never getting on with it. At 20:00 it was calm dry and overcast and it was like that first thing this morning and hasn't changed since. The glass is up slightly on 1029mb and steady. The wind is shifting into the NW and will be light all day giving a high of 6C and a low of 3C tonight with at most a -2C wind chill so it will feel cold if you are out in it. Looking at the outlook, we can expect another two days like this and then colder weather.....

Yesterday stayed dull and dry... At 20:00 it was calm, dry and overcast. It was the same this morning and hasn't changed. The glass is down on 1020mb and falling fast. The forecast is for an overcast day that stays dry and tends to become colder later. The wind is westerly varying between WSW and WNW giving us a high of 5C and a low of 1C tonight with a wind chill of -3C for much of the day. The outlook is for similar but cooler weather for the next four days with the chance of snow on the NW wind later. Could be a touch of Winter in the air!

We’ve had a fair bit of unexpected very light rain today. Lovely. I’m sure our bushfire prone areas will be very grateful.
A mild week coming on. 😊

Morning Cathy! I'm glad you have a pleasant week in prospect. We might be seeing a brief return to more wintry weather but I don't think it will be too serious.....

Yesterday was another grey overcast day. At 20:00 we had a cold light breeze and a ragged cloudy sky. This morning was the same with the addition of evidence of a light shower during the night. It is still the same and the flags are drying..... The glass is down with a bump on 1002mb. The forecast is for some light early morning rain and then overcast for the rest of the day. By 09:00 when the rain is due the wind has settled into a constant moderate NW giving a high of 5C and a low of -3C tonight with as much as a -5C wind chill at times. It's going to feel cold out there! (I might drop the idea of a midday walk!) The outlook is for at least three more days of these low temperatures and perhaps some snow. Deep joy, a late wintry blast!

Yesterday was grey, cold and overcast. At 20:00 we had a light cold breeze, broken high cloud and a full moon. Same this morning and the glass is down again on 995mb. The forecast is for a bright dry and largely sunny day. The constant North wind is light giving us a high of 3C and a low tonight of -4C with a wind chill of as much as -4C at times. If you are out in this make sure you are wrapped up warm. The outlook is for even colder weather with a possibility of snow and it doesn't warm up until next weekend. March is reminding us that we aren't out of the wood just yet!

Brilliant sunny day despite the bitter wind so I changed my mind and went out for a short walk. Nice to be in the sunshine but even nicer to get back inside where it's warm. (Funny thing is the CH has shut down, the house must be getting enough heat from the sun.....)

Yesterday stayed bright and cold until nightfall. At 20:00 we had a light cold breeze and a clear sky (Just a touch of haze). It was the same this morning first thing and since then as become slightly hazier. The glass is down slightly on a shade below 992mb and still falling. The forecast is for sunny intervals early on changing to overcast later but no rain or snow. The constant ENE wind starts light but becomes moderate giving us a high of 3C and a low tonight of -2C with up to -4C wind chill, the result is that it will feel like below freezing all day getting as low as -5C this morning so wrap up warm again! The outlook is colder tomorrow and a yellow warning of snow for the next two days but warming up on Saturday and Sunday.
Later at 07:20. Bitter cold out there, I can believe the forecast -5C. The glass is still falling......

I wondered where Gloria was! I thought she was flitting!
Yesterday stayed bitter cold and dry but with odd flakes of snow falling on the wind. It was like that at 20:00 with a light breeze and high thin cloud framing a full moon. It's the same this morning and the glass is down on 991mb. The forecast is warnings for snow and frost today and tomorrow but the worst doesn't start until about 09:00 so I shall do my weekly shop this morning. The constant east wind is moderate and gusts to over 40mph later giving us a high of 1C and a low tonight of -1C with as much as -7C wind chill later today when the wind is highest. It's a winter blast and the best we can do is keep our heads down. The outlook predicts it will be like this until Sunday when it will warm up. I hope so!

It's never stopped snowing since yesterday but at first they were minute flakes and since then have grown slowly until now, at almost noon the next day they have developed now into big flakes. The forecast says the wind will start to rise now. We may yet see the blizzard they have been promising us all day!

We've been considering the Caribbean for a cruise, been round the Med a few times, the Norwegian Fjords and up the Baltic. You'll have to share your experience Gloria :good:

Gloria, thanks for clearing that up. Congrats! You picked the best time to go.
I agree David. Well done Ken, best example of word power today so far..
Yesterday was a teaser, snow flakes falling all day but not snowing. It finally got round to it last night and we had about 3inch of a fall but it's stopped now. The glass fell to about 985mb during the night but is back up on 987mb now. We have an amber warning for snow until Noon but only expect it until 09:00 and it is stopped at the moment. The Northerly wind we have at the moment is brisk and gusts to 30mph but will drop until later today is is light and in the South. W have a high today of 3C in the sunny spells we can expect midday and tonight we revert to a frost of -4C. We can expect a chill of up to -7C this morning but easing during the day to -3C this afternoon.
Expect another cold day tomorrow but then two days much warmer before dropping back into normal seasonal weather again. Never a dull moment!
04:00. it's started snowing again....
