We've got exactly what was forecast Gloria, a breeze and significant rain. Not even considering a walk, I have done useful domestic things instead..... :biggrin2:

Yesterday we had wind and rain all day. At 20:00 it had stopped raining but was still overcast and wet. It was the same this morning first thing and hasn't changed since. The glass has fallen back to 1005mb and is still tending to fall. The forecast is for a cloudy but dry day with heavy rain showers coming in starting at 15:00 giving an evening of showers and sunny intervals. The southerly wind is moderate and gives us a high of 13C and a low of 8C tonight with a -3C wind chill at times. The outlook is for similar mild weather with scattered showers.

It’s doing nothing here, just cloudy, no wind, no rain, no sun, nothing.

We've been considering the Caribbean for a cruise, been round the Med a few times, the Norwegian Fjords and up the Baltic. You'll have to share your experience Gloria :good:
We’ve done the Baltic and the med as well, Caribbean is lovely, there are some parts which were devastated by a hurricane a few years back. It’s a bit of a shock to see cars abandoned at the side of the road with a flat tyre and a tree growing out of it. There are some beautiful properties next to what can only be described as falling down shacks. We don’t mind seeing this side of life. All the people were lovely. Ask any questions.

It sounds interesting, Casablanca was similar with big mansions and corrugated tin shacks side by side. I have this idea that the Caribbean is all about beaches, this is only based on advertising pictures. Not being 'beach' people it's always put us off. Is it all about beaches?

No it’s not all about beaches, you can find them but we don’t. We prefer to get out and about and see what’s going on where we’ve turned up.

Yesterday was dry until late afternoon which is exactly what the forecast promised. At 20:00 it was calm and raining. Exactly the same this morning, no wind and steady rain. The glass is down on 991mb. The forecast is for overcast with rain until late morning and then sunny spells with rain for the rest of the day. The SW wind is moderate giving us a high of 11C and a low of 7C with a wind chill of as much as -3C. The outlook is for similar weather, overcast but less rain.

No need to apologise Gloria, the empire didn't totter!
Yesterday was not as wet as forecast but still a pretty damp affair. At 20:00 we had a breeze and light rain and the same first thing this morning although it has stopped raining at present. The glass is down on 983mb and the forecast is for a misty morning and an overcast day but no actual rain. The constant NE wind is moderate and gives us a high of 10C and a low of 5C tonight with up to -3C wind chill. The outlook is for similar temperatures and possibly brighter after the weekend.
Later at 05:00.... I have just noticed that the glass is falling quickly.....

Yesterday stayed dry, apart from a short shower or two and occasional cautionary spatters.... At 20:00 it was calm, cloudy and dry. Same first thing this morning and it hasn't changed. The glass is well up on 999mb and still rising. The forecast is for a dry but cloudy day. The constant NE wind is light to moderate giving us a high of 8C, a low of 4C tonight and a wind chill of -3C. The outlook is for slightly warmer, dry weather. Tomorrow could be quite a nice day.

Yesterday was a good day and at 20:00 it was calm, dry and overcast. It was the same this morning first thing and it hasn't changed since. The glass has risen once more and is up on 1020mb and still rising. The forecast is for a day of full sun. The constant NE wind is light and gives us a high of 10C and a low of 0C tonight with up to -3C wind chill during the day. The outlook is for two more days like this and then similar temperatures but more cloud. This and better will do!

It was our turn for Daylight Savings this weekend.
Clocks back. Still have doors and windows open for
most of the day.

Sunset at 6.10pm tonight- that’s going to be weird 😂

Lovely Cathy, just what we need in Barlick. We're ready for some warm weather.... We've just been told by the Met Office that last month was the wettest since 1981. That's not the record we want to break!
