Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday was slow to develop but got to be a sunny day. At 20:00 it was calm and we had a clear sky with a good moon high in the sky which will be full on Thursday this week. First thing this morning it was the same and very close to a frost. Once more the glass is up on 1028mb and tending to fall. The forecast is for a day of full sun. The SE wind is mainly light giving a high of 10C and a low tonight of 0C with a maximum -3C wind chill around midday when the wind is strongest. The outlook for the week is for similar temperatures, mainly dry and uniformly overcast.

Quite a sharp frost here too, enough to make the pond ice over.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday was a bright sunny day but that wind was sneaky! At 20:00 it was calm and clear with a brilliant moon high in the sky. Still calm and clear first thing this morning and it hasn't changed. The glass has fallen a touch to a shade over 1025mb and still tending to fall. The forecast is a re-run of yesterday, full sun until early evening. The light wind is from the South and gives us a high of 11C and a low of 5C with a brief spell of -3C wind chill late this morning. The outlook is for similar weather all week but more cloud and warming slightly later.

A light frost again here, nice clear skies too. Unfortunately I'll have to close the blind once the sun shows itself over the hill.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday was a bright sunny day and at 20:00 it was still dry and calm but clouding over. First thing this morning it was the same, dry, calm and overcast and it hasn't changed since. The glass is down on 1017mb and still falling. The forecast is for rain to come in around 9AM and it will persist all day. The constant southerly wind is light and gives a high of 8C and a low of 7C tonight with a -3C wind chill for most of the day. The outlook is for drier weather warming up as we go into the next 6 days.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday was rain all day and it was the same at 20:00. First thing this morning, guess what? Calm and light rain. I've just looked outside and it has stopped raining now but it's still a damp morning. The glass is down on 1007mb and still falling. The forecast is for a dry overcast day until mid afternoon when it will become sunny intervals with intermittent showers. The light to moderate westerly wind gives us a high of 9C and a low of 2C tonight with a constant -3C wind chill all day. The outlook is for slightly warmer, drier weather apart form Monday which could be wet.....

I've had me walk and veggie shop and also sat for twenty minutes on traffic duty. It's dry and sunny but not warm, that wind cuts right through you! Glad to get back home in the warm. Still sunny though, looks lovely through the window....

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday stayed dry but it was a cold wind.... At 20:00 it was calm and clear. This morning it's calm and clear with a brilliant full moon in the south. The glass is up on 1016mb. The forecast is full sun all day. The constant NW wind is light and gives us a high of 12C, a low of 3C tonight and negligible wind chill. The outlook is for similar bright dry weather except for Monday when rain is forecast.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday was full sun all day and warm as long as you were out of the wind! At 20:00 it was calm and clear with a good moon. Same this morning first thing and it hasn't changed. The glass is up on 1021mb and tending to rise. The forecast is for early mist, then sun until this afternoon when it will cloud over. No rain. The constant SE wind is light and gives us a high of 13C and a low of 5C tonight with negligible wind chill. The outlook is for another good day tomorrow but then Monday brings in a change, expect similar temperatures but with wind and rain.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday was bright and sunny and warmer because the wind had changed. By 20:00 we had a bit of breeze and light cloud but basically still clear and sunny. First thing this morning we still had that breeze and it was almost perfectly clear, it hasn't changed since. The glass went up but fell back during the night to 1021mb. The forecast is for a morning of sunny intervals and a more cloudy afternoon but staying dry. The southerly wind is light to moderate and gives a high of 14C and a low of 9C with a -3C chill at times. The outlook is for cooler unsettled weather with rain.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday was even warmer but the rising wind presaged a change in the weather. At 20:00 it was breezy and overcast. First thing this morning it was still breezy, cool, damp and evidence of a recent shower. Since then we have acquired light rain. The glass is down on 1004mb and falling. The forecast is for dry overcast soon broken by sunny intervals and then heavy showers arriving from noon onwards. The SW wind is brisk gusting to 30mph at times and gives a high of 11C, a low tonight of 4C and a wind chill of as much as -5C at times this afternoon when the wind rises. The outlook is for similar temperatures and broken weather for the next week.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday the rain returned earlier than forecast and that was the story for the rest of the day. It was still raining at 20:00. This morning first thing the rain had almost stopped and the overcast was breaking, a few clouds visible. It's still the same but feels as though it could rain any moment. The glass is trying to rise and is on 1003mb. The forecast is for a dry day of bright overcast and sunny intervals until 16:00 when heavy rain comes in and is with us all night. The moderate SE/SW wind gusts to over 45mph at times and gives us a high of 10C and a low of 2C tonight. The wind chill gets to -5C when the wind is strongest. The outlook is for similar cool broken weather until the end of the week when it shows signs of warming up a little.

I've had me walk and a sit on traffic duty. Very pleasant in the long spells of sunshine as long as you could get out of that wind which is very cold. I'll believe their -5C wind chill in the gusts!
