Yesterday afternoon was a re-run of the day before. Better than forecast and low sun coming in under overcast at 20:00. This morning first thing it was calm and we had broken overcast. No change since except that the overcast is now very thin, almost clear. The glass is down a touch on 1023mb and the forecast is for a dry sunny day. The constant WNW wind will be moderate and give a high of 17C and a low of 10C with a -2C chill. The outlook is for similar dry bright weather.

Yesterday was exactly like the day before, it stayed fine and dry until 20:00 when overcast crept in but the sun still came in beneath it. First thing this morning it was calm, mild and we had stars peeping through in between scattered clouds. The overcast is more dense now. The glass is up a touch on 1026mb. The forecast is for some sunny intervals this morning but generally overcast all day until evening. The constant WSW wind is light to moderate and gives us a high of 17C, a low of 10C tonight and only a slight wind chill this afternoon. The outlook is for similar weather over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Yesterday was another good day but ended with more cloud than previous days. At 20:00 we had heavy cloud cover and only occasional shafts of sun came in under the canopy. First thing this morning it was calm, mild and clear. It is still the same and the glass has risen to 1029mb. The wind at the moment is very light and variable but will soon settle down to a light SW breeze giving us a high of 18C and a low of 10C with negligible wind chill. The six day outlook is for similar weather.

Yesterday was yet another nice settled day. More overcast than the previous days but still very pleasant. At 20:00 it was calm, mild and overcast. First thing this morning it was the same but a clear sky, since then cloud has come in and it is overcast. The glass is down slightly on 1027mb and the forecast is for a sunny day and perhaps cloud later. The moderate, mainly westerly winds are moderate and give a high of 19C and a low of 8C tonight with a wind chill this afternoon of -2C. The outlook is for a couple of overcast days followed by warmer sunnier weather into next week.

Yesterday was the best day this year so far, proper warm weather and at 20:00 we still had full sun. First thing this morning ot was calm, mild and we had a clear sky but scattered cloud has moved in since then. The glass is down on 1022mb and the forecast is for a cloudy but dry day. The light west wind will become a moderate easterly by 08:00 giving us a cooler day, a high of 16C and a low of 5C tonight with a -2C wind chill this afternoon. Monday will also be cool but after that we will be back into warmer and brighter weather.

Yesterday was a dull cloudy day mostly. There were occasional sunny spells but none of them lasted long. At 20:00 we had a bit of low sun coming in and it was clearing up. First thing this morning it was calm, mild and clear, it is still the same and the glass is up a bit on 1027mb. The forecast is a bit better than yesterday, sunny intervals all day. The constant NE wind is light to moderate and gives us a high of 17C and a low of 6C tonight with a -2C wind chill for most of the day. The outlook is for better brighter weather for at least a week. Cloudy here, and looks like it could rain, but none is forecast.
PS just been to hang washing out and it’s chilly.

Did you notice that yesterday it was announced that Burnley had the worst 'weather' in the country.

Based on hours of sunshine and wet days I think.

David, re.Burnley having the 'worst weather' possible if they are including Deerplay and the Bacup side of the hill.... :biggrin2:
Yesterday disappointed until early evening, it never really opened up to the promised sun. At 20:00 we did have low sun. This morning first thing we had a calm morning but overcast. The only change now is that we have a bit more wind. The glass is almost unchanged at a fraction below 1029mb. The forecast is for us to have cloud cover until this afternoon when we should get some sun. The constant ENE wind is moderate and gives us a high of 17C and a low of 8C tonight with a -2C wind chill most of the day.The six day outlook is for brighter warmer weather.

Yesterday got slightly warmer but didn't live up to its promise. We had a bit of low sun coming in under the overcast after 20:00 but nothing like the 26C forecast for further north and west. First thing this morning it was calm, chilly and overcast and it hasn't changed. The glass is down slightly on 1026mb and the forecast is for a re-run of yesterday. The constant ENE wind will be moderate and will give us a high of 15C and a low of 7C with as much as a -3C chill for much of the day.Not my idea of summer! The outlook is for warmer and brighter weather, I hope it's right!

I've been out for my walk and Town Square veggie shopping. I didn't have a sit because it was too cold and dull, I could almost feel spots of rain in the air. No sign of those sunny spells yet. I put one of my winter coats on. There's little doubt that I made a big mistake the other day when I cast my clout!
