Not tea, elevenses. Aldi Italian blend ground coffee and freshly baked pain au Chocolat (Aldi frozen). A nice treat.

I daren't go for the pastries or anything sweet but my morning treat (And I am enjoying it now) is a pint of milky coffee brewed with Machu Picchu organic coffee. Lovely!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I roasted my chicken. I had the very last helping of chicken and veggies from last week for breakfast and then had the new bat5ch of veggies plus gravy from the chicken, for dinner and tea. Another week has started!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Guess what. I know I am probably peculiar in that I eat the same thing so often but it's good grub and I enjoy it. If I didn't I would be cooking something else. So... chicken and veggies X three!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Chicken, chorizo, red onions, bell peppers, tomatoes in the pressure cooker with a splash of balsamic vinegar and some oregano. Best wash it down with a nice 2018 Rioja, it is Wednesday which as good an excuse as any
Very nice for £6 from Aldi, highly recommended.

One of my favourite wines..... I once asked John Martinez what was the origin of the wire netting on the bottle and he didn't know.....
I had chicken and veggies X three. Notice I have cut back and no longer get the Scotch Eggs. I have been putting weight on!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I was running late and had not eaten. I was passing, so went to Sainsburys at Eddington (where the average age seems about 25, and everyone has a PhD) Let's be reckless and get a ready meal thinks I.
Got my Chicken Tikka Feast plus a few other things and went to the till. Only one operating, and he had his closed sign up - served the last customer and left. I leaned over the rail to the self scan scrummage, and asked one of the three staff who were talking to each other when a till would re-open. "We're not doing tills now we don't want to open one. Come round and a colleague will help you to scan your shopping".
Rather impulsively, but politely, I said "OK let's just forget it" - abandoned my trolley and left.
"No worries" said the colleague "have a good one! ".
I think me and modern life are diverging a little.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I understand that completely David. I hate the fact that slowly but surely the corporations that own supermarkets are getting the customers to do all the work, that's what self-service is! I have always said that the ultimate goal is to get us to unload the wagons and stack the shelves.....
The problem is the same as it was when the CEO of General Motors was asked about installing robots to build cars. He said that it would be fine so long as the robots bought cars. That person manning the till bought groceries as well and automatic check out doesn't.....
I am getting the chicken and veggies into a corner and yesterday had it X three. Today is Early Doors shopping at the Co-op.....

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
David will be pleased to hear we have a change today, I have been putting weight on slowly and so have to do something about it. I missed having dinner so only two helpings of chicken and veggies for Breakfast and tea. I suspect it will be better if I stick to three helpings a day but make them smaller. I'll see how I get on....

Three small helpings of Chicken and veggies and it's having an affect immediately, the lower volume means less belly and easier living. I shall persevere!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Three half helpings of chicken and veggies and no cheese and biscuits for a treat after tea!
(I weighed myself and I was right, I am just under 14 stone, the heaviest I have been for a while. I shall aim for 13 stones.)

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Same as yesterday, three half helpings of chicken and veggies. I fried my sweet potato chips yesterday. At this rate I can see my veggies lasting into next week so no veggie shopping today.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Yes, you're right David but there weren't many of them by most people's standards. I am persevering with the half helpings and they are working....
Chicken and veggies X three yesterday and still on last week's batch.
