Your weather has 10 days to sort it self out before we arrive........
We are still in a summer pattern of weather with no rain in sight, its getting a bit desperate over here. No real rain since October last year even trees are dying.........I really dont want to wear long trousers as I have been in shorts since last September, so come on England turn on that summer for us........
Yesterday wed had mizzle in the late morning but by later in the afternoon it was a warm sunny end to the day. But by 20:00 the overcast had won again. This morning first thing it was calm, overcast and dry, it hasn't changed since. The glass is up on 1011mb and the forecast is for a sunny day. The NE wind will be light and gives us a high of 20C and a low of 8C tonight with only a slight wind chill. The outlook is for similar weather, still no surprises or changes in sight.

By comparison it's overcast and currently around 17 degrees down here in Southampton. Just waiting for a taxi to take us to the cruise terminal, it's going to be a busy one as there are 5 ships in today. Around 18500 passengers embarking in total and a music concert going on today, the estimated travel time for the usual 20 minute journey is in excess of an hour
Yesterday we developed cloud later in the afternoon but by 20:00 the sky had cleared and we had full sun. This morning it is calm, clear and mild. The glass has risen and is on 1014mb. The forecast is clear and sunny all day. The light easterly winds give us a high of 20C and a low tonight of 10C with a -2C wind chill at times. The outlook is for similar if slightly cooler weather.
Kev is sailing into slightly cooler but fine and settled weather according to the Finnish weather service.....

I have had my walk and half an hour's sit on traffic duty. The sun is very warm but my back was cold from the north east wind that was blowing on it. We have at least -2C wind chill!

Yesterday some cloud returned in the afternoon but it soon burned off and by 20:00 we had full sun to end the day. This morning it's calm, dry and overcast. The glass has risen slightly to 1015mb and the forecast is for a dry but overcast day with sun late in the afternoon perhaps. The NE wind is moderate and gives us a high of 16C and a low of 8C tonight with a wind chill of -2C for most of the day. The outlook is for similar weather with perhaps the occasional light shower.

Yesterday was a re-run of the day before. Once more, there was definitely a chill if you couldn't shelter from the wind. Later in the afternoon the cloud returned and at 20:00 it was overcast. During the night it cleared and first thing this morning it was calm and clear but since then it has clouded over again. The glass is down on 1010mb and the forecast is for a sunny start to the day but rapidly clouding over with perhaps even a shower and then overcast but dry for the rest of the day. The mainly NE wind will be light and gives us a high of 17C and a low tonight of 12C with again, a -2C wind chill this morning. The outlook is for similar weather, no sign yet of a flaming June on its way in!

It was a cooler day yesterday and heavily overcast. Late in the afternoon it brightened a little and eventually some sun broke through under the overcast at 20:00 but not much! First thing this morning it started to rain and it hasn't stopped since. The glass is down on 1005mb and the forecast promises us wall to wall rain under a yellow warning for today and tomorrow. The wind is NW and starts light this morning but gradually increases to moderate during the day. The high will be 13C and the low tonight 11C. The wind chill increases with the wind and gets to -3C this afternoon. The outlook is for similar weather, cool and wet.

Yesterday it rained all day and it was still raining at 20:00 when I went to bed. The NW wind chilled everything down enough to trigger the CH! It was raining first thing this morning and there has been no change. The glass has fallen and is down on 1000mb. The forecast is strange, we have a yellow warning for heavy rain until noon but the forecast gives a dry morning and then light showers. The fact is it is raining! The constant west wind is moderate all day and gives us a high of 12C and a low of 10C tonight with a wind chill of -3C all day. The outlook is for another cool day tomorrow and then warmer, drier weather over the weekend but no high summer!
Later at 05:00. We have a strange red glow in the sky. Shepherd's warning?

G. I liked your word "sunning" - being the opposite of raining which you introduced us to a while ago; I've been looking for a chance to use it ever since. Sadly the opportunity has not arisen.

It’s a word our son used when learning to speak, and I’ve used it ever since
Yesterday afternoon it was cool enough to trigger the heating again (It's on again this morning....) It was dry but overcast and was still like that at 20:00. This morning first thing it was cool, overcast and dry with evidence of a shower during the night. It is still the same. The Glass has jumped up to 1010mb and the forecast is for an overcast day but probably dry. The wind is light and WSW giving us a high of 11C and a low of 8C with a -3C wind chill. The outlook is warmer from tomorrow onwards but don't expect high summer!
