Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
It is one of the smaller ships in the P&O fleet, just short of 1800 onboard. There are several restaurants and entertainment venues. The leg of lamb to share was excellent. I had Turbot for tea last night which was very nice. We sat in The Crow's Nest (a bar up on deck 13) for brandy after dinner and watched the sun go down at 10:30.

Sounds idyllic Kev, glad you are enjoying it all.
I know I'm in my own little world, but it's OK... they know me here.

Leg of lamb is always good! As for the sunset..... we aren't having them at the moment! Too much bloody cloud.
I had my usual three hot meals of meat and veggies.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Breakfast was the last helping of last week's cooking. Dinner and tea were the new batch of cooking, almost entirely vegetarian, very healthy!

Chicken and veggies for breakfast and tea. Dinner was fish, chips and mushy peas with the kids in Town Square. A joyous occasion. I am so lucky.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Three hot meals again augmented by some very tasty savoury rice and onion I cooked just because I fancied it.
I shall be roasting some belly pork this morning for the same reason!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I cooked my belly pork and augmented the veggies in the fridge with the results. It was done in time for a bit to go in my dinner and tea hot meals and is very good, a lovely additional taste!
If you aren't put off by a bit of fat, belly pork is such good value and very nutritious! I recommend it to all of you.

Chicken Biryani with half a Garlic Naan from our award winning lads at Barlick Raj. A glass or two of red wine to go with it.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Three hot meals and the belly pork is doing fine.
I used some apple cider vinegar in the cooking and it is a powerful taste. It has survived well and gives an extra bite to the meat.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
We will be going on Wednesday. After 16 nights of being away the fridge was still empty when we got home, we decided to take advantage of Mario's Monday offer. Any starter, main course and coffee for £16.90 each. We will have to go shopping tomorrow.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I started the day with forbidden fruit, two fried egg butties. Then I got back on track with meat and veggies for dinner and tea. I am starting to think about veggie shopping!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I had meat and veggies for breakfast and tea but Margaret treated me to dinner, a meat pie and a custard from Hutchinsons. Very nice and on some days I seem to benefit from something like that which I would normally avoid.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Meat and veggies X three for breakfast dinner and tea. These meals were the last of last week's cooking batch. I have a fridge full of next week's meals..... Sometime in the next couple of days I will fry my sweet potato chips and perhaps roast a slab of pork belly.

Three hot meals. My new batch of chicken and veggies is up to standard and incidentally, the Chinese Carrots taste like home grown carrots, so much better than our field carrots!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Chicken and veggies X three for breakfast dinner and tea. I roasted the belly pork that had been marinaded all night with curry and Lea and Perrins sauce and separated the fat from it. That was cut up into bite sized chunks and put in the fridge with the veggies. Lovely grub!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Here's a thought. . .
Outside Tesco last week was a little van cooking, and giving away free samples of beef steaks.
This has been followed up by an advertising campaign on radio specifically pushing British steaks. Looks there must be a bit of a glut.
I couldn't help contrasting it all with the basket just inside the shop asking for food for the food bank, to give to those that were struggling to provide their own.
Google pushes this chap to me every Sunday mornng. He's very entertaining = I like "sell out or stay out". Bennets Butchers I'm tempted by the rib eye offer. . . .
