Stockport Pyramid To Become Curry House

Post by Whyperion »

BBC Report
The one time co-operative (insurance?) pyramid by the motorway in Stockport has been bought and turned into slightly more than a indian takeaway. It comes as function suites, restaurants with 150 staff and capability for 1500 guests.
As one heads north up toward Manchester on the A6 the curry mile of basically the Levenshulme area has plenty of variety for both take aways and at least one converted cinema that was always busy with indian weddings and festival functions so the pyramid should be popular I hope.

The number of pyramid shaped buildings seems to have diminished over the years with one RAC one at Staples Corner london going (is there still one on the M6 going north near Birmingham?) and the Stratford, east london, council offices at The Grove being demolished shortly after i left that area.
