Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?
Later.... I heard a report about an IDF spokesman being interviewed by a BBC correspondent He refused to admit that the IDF had shot anyone even when confronted with evidence that the calibre of bullets and type of shrapnel was exactly the same profile as wounds known to have been caused by IDF fire. He also refused to admit that Palestinians were being starved to death.
Unbelievable.......
Unbelievable.......

You'll have to wait until February for mine Cathy. But it will be a biggie if I get there!
See THIS if you feel you can stave off nausea as you watch what must be the acme of conspicuous consumption. Estimates of the costs range from £20m to £50m.
Billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos tied the knot with TV presenter Lauren Sanchez in a lavish wedding in Venice on Friday. Reality stars, actors, royals and a whole host of A-listers were trailed by paparazzi in water taxis as they made their way to the three-day event. Oprah Winfrey, Orlando Bloom, Kylie Jenner and Ivanka Trump were just some of the celebrities seen in the city for the star-studded event. The festivities are expected to end on Saturday with a large party in a former medieval shipyard, where Lady Gaga and Elton John are expected to perform.
It's a fantasy world where money is no object.

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?
The fact that for the second day on the trot I overslept by an hour. Is my body trying to tell me something?
I found THIS very confusing.
The prime minister has condemned UK punk duo Bob Vylan for urging "death" to Israeli troops in what he called "appalling hate speech". Glastonbury Festival organisers have also said they were "appalled" after frontman rapper Bobby Vylan led chants of "free, free Palestine" and "death, death to the IDF [Israel Defense Forces]". In a statement, Sir Keir Starmer said the BBC had questions to answer over its live broadcast of the group's performance on Saturday. A BBC spokesperson previously said some of the comments were "deeply offensive", adding it had issued a warning on screen about "very strong and discriminatory language". The set will not be available on BBC iPlayer.
The source of my confusion was that I thought it was Bob Dylan and couldn't understand how he could be doing something so crass......
(Could the name Vylan possibly be intended to confuse?)

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?
THIS caught my eye this morning.
There's a saying that Robert F Kennedy Jr is very fond of. He used it on the day he was confirmed as US health secretary. "A healthy person has a thousand dreams, a sick person only has one," he said as he stood in the Oval Office. "60% of our population has only one dream – that they get better." The most powerful public health official in the US has made it his mission to tackle what he describes as an epidemic of chronic illness in America, a catch-all term that covers everything from obesity and diabetes to heart disease. His diagnosis that the US is experiencing an epidemic of ill health is a view shared by many healthcare experts in the country. But Kennedy also has a history of promoting unfounded health conspiracies, from the suggestion that Covid-19 targeted and spared certain ethnic groups to the idea that chemicals in tap water could be making children transgender. And after taking office, he slashed thousands of jobs at the Department of Health and Human Services and eliminated whole programmes at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). "On the one hand, it's extraordinarily exciting to have a federal official take on chronic disease," says Marion Nestle, a retired professor of public health at New York University. "On the other, the dismantling of the federal public health apparatus cannot possibly help with the agenda."
Would you like this man to be in charge of your health service?
