Drop Kerbs

Many will have noticed the vigourous way that LCC has put in drop kerbs all around West Craven

To block these is actually criminal obstruction, and the police can hand out tickets (see Highway Code)

It would appear that LCC haven't put the 'H' bars across all of them, so if you spot any please tell Cllr Bailey as he is now 'making a list' and hopes to have the white liners here in a few weeks to sort them all out.

Most places use Double Yellow Lines if you mean at pedestrian assistance rather than vehicle crossovers rather than White , though drop kerbs dont technically need either due to the obstruction rules automatically coming into play. Of course as a pedestrian in the winter ices I find the sudden change in pavement gradient a real problem in my smooth shoes.

The lack of change in gradient without the slope presents an even greater problem for wheelchair and pram users hence the idea of the sloping pavement. Nolic

Raise the road = crossing on the level.
