I posted this earlier but it has vanished...

Yesterday the rain arrived late in the afternoon but ceased before nightfall. By midnight it had started raining again and this morning we have heavy overcast, a light breeze and rain. The glass has fallen again to 984mb and the forecast is for heavy overcast and rain all day. The constant easterly winds will be moderate and we can expect a high of 7C and a low tonight of 4C with a wind chill of -3C all day. The outlook is for similar weather to this for the next six days.

At the moment it isn't even daylight in Barlick..... Deep Joy!

Hard luck Cathy, you're welcome to weather like that. Give me a mild winter like the one we are having.
Yesterday afternoon was another re-run, it gradually got brighter as dusk approached but we went into an overcast night. This morning we have overcast, a breeze and spatters of rain. The glass is down on 980mb and tending to fall further. The forecast is for overcast all day, dry this morning but rain coming in this afternoon. The easterly winds are moderate all day and gust to almost 40mph this afternoon. We can expect a high of 7C and a low tonight of 5C with a -4C wind chill for most of the day. The outlook is for more of the same.... Still, it's better than heavy snow!

Yesterday afternoon was overcast and damp, no real rain, just a nagging wetness all day. We have had a quiet night and this morning we have a breeze under heavy overcast but it's not raining. The glass is up on 986mb and tending to rise. The forecast is the same as yesterday, dry with heavy overcast for most of the day and a chance of a sunny spell in the early afternoon. The constant easterly winds will be moderate and gust to almost 40mph. We can expect a high of 7C and a low tonight of 4C 2ith a constant wind chill of -4C, occasionally rising to -5C. The outlook is for similar weather, heavyy overcast slightly cooler and Tuesday could be very wet.

That's hot Cathy.... Margaret is down at Bunbury in the caravan for a fortnight and she says it is very pleasant there at the moment. I hope you get more of the 31C I saw in that chart.....

Yesterday afternoon was reasonably bright and dry but we kept that breeze and the attendant chill. The overcast was broken at first and the breeze persisted but then after midnight it started raining. This morning we have a brisk breeze and it's raining. The glass is at 987mb and tending to fall. The forecast is for a windy wet and overcast day. The easterly winds start brisk, gusting to 35mph and gradually reduce slightly during the course of the day. We can expect a high of 6C and a low tonight of 2C. We start the day with a wind chill of -5C but then it falls to -4C for the rest of the day. The outlook is cooler and Tuesday is expected to be very wet.

Yesterday afternoon we kept the breeze and the wind chill under an overcast sky but it stayed dry. The night was overcast and breezy with occasional spatters of rain, you could hardly call them showers. This morning we have that wind and the overcast and still tha spatters of rain. The glass has risen and is on 998mb and steady. The forecast is for a breezy, overcast day with a misty start but staying dry until this evening when we can expect some wintry showers. The constant ESE wind will be moderate all day and we can expect a high of 4C and a low tonight of 2C with a wind chill of -5C for most of the day. The six day outlook starts with a very wet day tomorrow and then a week of cloud, low temperatures and possible light showers.

I misheard the name of the next storm as SANDRA. That's nice I thought - an old fashioned british girl's name. I now realise that in fact the name is CHANDRA (named by the Met Office) which sounds a bit Indian for a West country bit of bad weather.

Ah well - I'll wait for the next one which I find from the Met Office list will be called DAVE. It's hard to get less woke than that.
