I remember the names but that's all. In the 60s I was in my tramping phase and there wasn't room in my life for anything other than miles and loads..... It was as you say, a different time.....

Ted the Patterdale cross

I rate Paul Whitehouse the funniest man on the web, and Bob Mortimer perhaps the unfunniest.

I never came across Ted but have a soft spot for all Patterdales....

A chap called Dennis Locorriare died .

No me neither, but it appears he was the singer with Dr Hook and the Medicine Show.
Not sure why - but I always liked this track. "and the operator said 40 cents more. . . ."

PS This is a fascinating follow up to the story. She was really called Sylvia Maria Pandofi and here she is - and her mother.
I'd say he wasn't a bad judge. An impressive pair of women.

I seem to remember Dr Hook, I think my daughters were fans.... Nice that you took the trouble to look Sylvia's mother up....

Yes, Ray is the one at the start of the video Tripps posted. We went to see Dr Hook at Belle Vue in 1972 I think it was, a good band.
