Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?
Logistics?
I have been tracking an order I made due to be delivered today. I had tracking info this morning at 09.30 that gave a delivery time of 16.30 to 18.30 today. I shoved the tracking info into their app and its showed the driver in Nelson at 10am, Colne at 10.45 and he was in Barlick by 11.30. Tracking showed him on Skipton Road and then on Monkroyd. I assumed my delivery would be shortly after. I checked again at 12.45 and found that he was back in Nelson? If they knew about my delivery by 9.30 why wasn't it on the van for when he was already in Barlick? Only reason I can think is that they have a distribution hub in Nelson and have to revisit throughout the day. Still seems daft though to me.

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?
There is a notice on the app that says the courier already has my parcel. That was there when I first checked this morning so it makes even less sense.

I pay no attention to all emails and text messages regarding ebay deliveries. I think the whole process is little short of miraculous, and I try not to organise the business of those runnng it on a daily basis. My tally to date is 634 purchases, and I have never had one that did not arrive.

I don’t watch them either, the ads are bad enough.
I know I'm in my own little world, but it's OK... they know me here.

See THIS seek allows seek allowances
Surrey Police says it is investigating two separate allegations of "non-recent child sexual abuse" following the US release of the files related to the convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The force says that one relates to locations in Surrey and Berkshire in the mid 1990s to 2000. The other relates to the mid to late 1980s in west Surrey. No arrests have been made, it added. In a statement, the force said it took "all reports of sexual offending seriously and will work to identify any reasonable lines of enquiry to verify information or establish corroborating evidence".

See THIS update on earlier news....
A father has described feeling "unbearable grief" after his three "beloved" daughters died in the sea off Brighton beach. Jane Adetoro, 36, Christina Walters, 32, and Rebecca Walters, 31, from the Uxbridge area of London, died in a "terrible tragedy" on 13 May, police said. Emergency services were called at about 05:45 BST to a report of a person in the water near Black Rock car park in Madeira Drive. Two other bodies were also recovered from the sea nearby. Paying tribute, their father, Joseph, said in a statement: "No words can truly describe the pain of losing three daughters in the prime of their lives."

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?
Susan arrives at Heath Row this morning.
THIS caught my eye....
US President Donald Trump says an agreement with Iran has been "largely negotiated" and details will be announced soon. The deal would include the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, he said on Saturday, without giving further details. Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei earlier told state television that US and Iranian positions had been converging in the last week, but warned that did not mean agreements would be reached on key issues and accused the Americans of "contradictory statements". On social media, Trump said he had a "very good call" with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and others about a "Memorandum of Understanding pertaining to PEACE". "An agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalization between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other Countries, as listed," Trump said. "Final aspects and details of the deal are currently being discussed, and will be announced shortly."
I was saying yesterday I hadn't seen any mention of the Donald for a day or two. Looks as though I have got my answer.....
Is this the beginning of the end? Don't clap hands yet.....

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?
Brighton' s beach is of large pebbles, they are arranged like staggered shelves with quick vertical descents . the currents run round the Black Rock Marina (which I think has been enlarged over more recent years) giving undercurrents too and the English Channel probably not warmed up from nordic flows as yet.Stanley wrote: ↑21 May 2026, 01:02 See THIS update on earlier news....
