It doesn't sound like a trip I would enjoy.
Say only a little but say it well.

Won't be doing this trip again, that is for sure.
Decided we had enough of "rustic" and drove 7 hours to Clare today. What a difference! Lovely park....and we have water!!!
And there are no squabbles about who deserves it most. And the park has lovely green grass ( haven't seen lawn for days)
We will be happy bunnies here.

Oh yes...this is much better. Lovely lawned park beside the water...pub just a little stroll up the hill, and gradient is perfect for the roll home! Dinner up there tomorrow night, though we called into the pub on our bike ride today to check out the menu. Might do a bike ride to the local cemetery tomorrow, as it seems to be a local attraction ( there is a brochure :laugh5: !)
Tonight was home cooked Sausages/Onion/salads. ( and a nice glass of Red)
Bird life around here is amazing. Got swooped by Magpies on our bike ride...pesky Devils.
Lovely little spot. Must do our walk around to check out all the different vans tomorrow...we enjoy doing that.

Glad you're enjoying it. How has the van stood up to it? Any modifications needed? Or did you get it right first time.....

No problems at all actually. We both have to be neat and have certain jobs to do, in a certain order so we aren't getting in each other's way...but it all seems to work. The evenings are particularly comfortable. I have a good light for reading and we can both stretch out to watch TV. No climbing over each other.
One thing we did change was the dining table. It was rectangular and space to get in was a bit tight at one end. We bought a round one and it works much better. ( one again, cardboard in different circumferences aided us in the decision!)
I made a magnetic-self-closing fly screen for the door as we love having the door open. It works a treat. ( took about an hour to run up on the machine).
There are no rattles as we drive along, as we have both memorised how to stack things...

I can keep ten days worth of meals in the freezer. Fridge is roomy too. Have a 3 shelf pull out pantry that hubby installed. Reverse cycle air conditioner is amazing. We have a microwave, sandwich toaster, 3 burner gas hob and an electric bench toaster oven.
It's awesome! ( as the youngsters say)

Now that everyone's little darlings are back in school and we have a run of more acceptable weather, we are escaping up the river in our little motor home for a few nights.
Looking forward to it.
Let's see...have packed the Wine, the Port, the cheeses, the camera, hat, book, fishing gear, wind up radio
and insect repellant. Also lots of Mineral Water, as I seem to be drawn to it lately.
Must make a few decisions about food now that essentials are stowed away!

Maz will be at Mannum, on the Mighty Murray River, Stanley.
Cleaned and stocked everything today. Head off tomorrow.
Febby no help at all. He doesn't "do" cleaning, stocking or planning. He just swings his bag on board at the last moment and presumes I have thought of everything. ( that's why he ends up in various locations minus underwear/medication/change of shirt etc. I refuse to pack his personal items. I am not his Mother!)
It's a reverse situation when we get home. He swings his bag off and disappears....better things to do than help clean up.
( :biggrin2: which is why I intend to give him most of the cooking duties for the next 3 nights. My way of evening things up a bit. I'm such a wicked woman...)

Not wicked, sensible! You could adopt the Lysistrata principle but applied to cooking and cleaning..... (LINK)
