She dictated a message to Yiota for me yesterday and also a long one updating everyone on her Facebook list. More impressive she posted a pic of herself in bed, scar, feeding tube and a big smile. Assessment day today..... Fingers crossed.

The word is her brain improves daily. I have warned everyone to put their tin hats on, she will be in full attack mode soon and running us ragged!

Wen they went to buy it the salesman quoted a long delivery date so Janet came clean and told him why they needed it quickly. Recognising a Superior Force he retracted, gave them next day delivery and knocked a thousand dollars off the price! Janet says it is a wonderful negotiating ploy.
News today is that she is eating normally (but not enough), talkative, totally lucid and fighting the doctors to get home! So far so good.....(Can't help remembering that film, 'As good As It Gets')

Great news for Janet and all the family , and isn't technology wonderful :)
Does Janet need hats or scarves - she might be able to negotiate some more bargains, haha.

If she can she will Cathy and yes, technology is wonderful For instance, thanks to Whatsapp I can tell you that as I write Janet is resting after physio and a shower and negotiations with the doctors about getting home. This is going to happen as soon as all the support services are arranged.....

Positive report again late yesterday. She is expected to be back in the hutch early next week. She will be so much more comfortable and of course better for the family. Mind you, it means they will be exposed to full on Janet 24X7! She will be using the levers of power! (I think Nurse Gladys has won the Battle of the Commode....)

Wonderful progress and must be such a relief for you, Stanley. Any plans to go out there for a visit or are you being dissuaded from doing that?

The relief is temporary China, the eventual outcome is beyond doubt. Janet has bought time with her kids.... I made it clear very early on that I would not be going out there and everyone, including Janet, agreed. I would be useless, most likely be ill and be a distraction to all. Far better to stay here, keep well and communicate all the time. I'm completely comfortable with that decision. I am her UK representative! Official!

As I write, Janet is clean, comfortable and sleeping after a big helping of Robert's cottage pie. Still on track for move back home on Monday and plans being laid for treatment. Chemo will be at home by tablet but will not start until she is stronger and can stand the side effects. Quiet progress. All we can hope for or expect.

I have just spoken to the three sisters in Janet's room in HDU. Janet tells me that she has just found out that the unit she is in and doctors that are treating her are regarded as one of the best facilities in the world. If you have a brain tumour that's where you need to be. She was perfectly lucid, looking forward to being home tomorrow and is in very good spirits...... Need I tell you that this was a very nice telephone call?
