Amazing David.... And yes, I think you're right. In fact I think Barry was taking the piss out of Trump but he was to wrapped up in himself to notice.

I learned this morning that a shirt in Australia can have a Sun Protection Factor Margaret has just bought one for Mick that is SPF 50. Evidently the fact it had long sleeves helped.
I didn't know that.....

Those names mean nothing to me Cathy beyond the people they are.... Perhaps I should be watching The Chase!

Really? Oh OK… James and Taylor , James Taylor has been a singer since the 60’s. He sings ‘You’ve Got A Friend’.
And the other two , Bob and Dylan makes Bob Dylan.

We watch The Chase frequently and they quite often have contestants whose names make others when they are lined up.

Just been watching “Old Times Remembered “ on You Tube by Angus Brennan. I know Stanley has given us lots of these images, but to see them all together, and some from 1900 is just lovely..

I don't think we have Cathy. As you say, that's a very Aussie attitude, being open and telling the raw truth. I don't know which is the better way, they are just different and tailored to their own climates....

I’ve often wondered what the flat strip on a bath towel was for, other than being decorative.
Turns out that it’s called a Dobby Border. The name comes from the Dobby Loom that appeared around 1843.
Its primary purpose is structural, it helps the towel hold its shape.

I've never heard that before Cathy. I know about dobbies and that flatter strip could be the product of the dobby mechanism....

I've tried to understand the current political shenanigans, but failed, and I don't think I'm alone. I've reverted to flippant mode, and shall ignore it all. It willl all come to nothng eventually.
This Olly Robbins chap seems to be a preferable PM, rather than the weasel / snake we have at the moment. I can't help noticng he has a strong facial resemblance to the late Hovis Presley.

I have never seen that gentleman before.... I am not going into a decline about that.
I share your confusion and my version is that if someone is as genuinely confusing as Starmer is they should be automatically sacked and made to apply for the Chiltern Hundreds.
I encountered this acronym in connection with this matter. I often have to look these up as I am not au fait with modern writers but I was amused to realise I knew what this was as soon as I saw it.... SHTF
