I think all animals can sense a storm long before humans can. It could be that he is feeling changes in air pressure, electrical activity etc not necessarily hearing sounds like we do.

Could be Wendy and I wouldn't argue against that but I still think he is dead-legging me!
Never mind, I can handle it. Main thing he is a happy dog.

Jack showed no distress yesterday in the high temperatures. I was reminded that they originated as a desert animal.

Re. Jack. Things are changing, he isn't happy so neither am I. Every indication of something like dementia. It could be decision time....

It’s as if he is alternating between not so good and good , maybe be will come good again.
Could the Vet give him a relaxant of some sort, it might even him out .

I'm afraid it's more serious than that Cathy, Gillian did warn me that this might happen. He's totally unpredictable, just had his morning sausage and vomited on the carpet. That's par for the course now. I think it's decision time, apart from anything else it's wearing me down.

I’m sure you will do what you and your vet think best Stanley, and that will be right for Jack.

I think I know what Gillian's opinion will be, she warned me of the possible aftermath. At the moment I'm surviving, just.

I admit it's troubling me David. When things are 'normal' it's supportable but then he goes off the rails.... I shall take advice from Gillian but I have an idea that the constant worry is bad for me. Should I allow myself to be selfish?

I have an appointment with Gillian at 09:30 tomorrow. Now I have 24 hours of guilt and uncertainty. Not very happy.

Gillian was very good with our cat Millie. I know you will do the best for Jack Stanley, all you can do.

I doubt that China. I am having a bad morning, not looking forward to it at all. Sooner the day is over the better.

Son is off to the vet tonight with his dog as she doesn’t want to eat and has refused even water today. Fingers crossed it won’t be his last visit to the vet...( if it is, it was a sharp decline, because she has been full of beans lately)
Wendy, your boys are adorable...

They are there now, so I don’t expect it will be too long before I here. Funny thing is that she was at the vets on Wednesday as follow up for an ear infection ( something that has recurred many times in her life). She was given a clean bill of health, infection cleared, came home, and refused her evening meal.

Still waiting to hear. Their Appt time was 55 mins ago...
Soon after...
Well...that is the strangest thing I ever heard. The dog has “colitis” ( that is not the strangest thing).
Dog has been given several injections and needs to be fed in an hour, and must be given BBQ Chicken!!!
( I said to son “ did the dog get hold of the instruction sheet at any point and write BBQ Chicken in that box”?!)
Bless him, he has stopped of at the Chicken Shop on the way home and bought the dog a BBQ Chicken.
I never heard of such a treatment instruction. Have you?
