Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
A British light infantry canon, Guess at Waterloo 1815 battle. Not worth bringing home so I would say Waterloo museum.
Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
Not a battle as such.

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
Mrs Tiz suggested Clitheroe Castle but I doubt they have a flyover/bridge like the one in the background.

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
No not Clitheroe Castle.
Wendy I don't know where you lived so can't say yes or no, what does it begin with?

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
Although I knew Chester and the walls well back in the 1970's I wouldn't have known about the cannon sculpture if I hadn't been looking online recently to check out the route from the pub where I worked to my flat!
Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
Can't remember ever seeing it but I guess it adds to the overall interest. Some more good picture on here Cannon.

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
Well...
You have to pay to park there.
There is a police car on the far left.
Looks like a water fountain about the right height off the ground for horses.
Was it old stables for police horses?
