We had a chicken curry but didn't enjoy it much as we normally bring our curry sauces with us but used a French one. Eileen

I made some tomato relish. So that and cheese with olives on a butty for dinner and Fish finger butty with relish and olives for tea. Today is butcher's day but Susan is coming at dinnertime and bringing fish, chips and mushy peas! Just put a loaf in the machine..... I love my home made bread made with the right ingredients and the olive oil I put in means that it is soft and easy to chew.....

Homemade Butternut Pumpkin Soup, with buttered crusty roll.
Eileen, I was only lamenting the other day that it must be years since I had a slice of cake....Lemon Madeira Cake sounds like the kind of thing my taste buds were hankering for. Haven't done anything about it. No point cooking one when no one will eat the darn thing.
I remember the days when everyone had a cake tin and biscuit barrel and a twenty inch waist!

I forgot to post this morning because yesterday's visit was on my mind. I couldn't persuade them to eat anything, they had dined on the way down from Scotland. I had Two small haslett butties for dinner befoire they came with tomato relish and Olives. By the time they left it was way past teatime so all I had was a neat pie and a jam butty. Lovely day though......

Worse than you think Maz! It has pig heart and other offal in it. It's half the price of a pure meatloaf for that reason but believe me, it's very good if made well. Had two small burger and fried egg butties for diner with relish and olives. Tea was the same but pressed beef. I cooked some bacon ribs slowly last night until the meat fell off them, stripped the meat off and put it back in the salty gravy with a tin of baked beans. It will make a good butty filling...

No butter on my butties Maz..... Pressed Beefm tomato and olives on a butty for dinner. Half the jerked ribmeat with boiled basmati rice for tea.

The jerked rib and beans made two butties, one for dinner and one for tea. A new loaf is in the machine..... and some Chop and sausage filling left, we shall not starve today!

Have just made the sauce for Spicy Beef Noodles. Will 'melt' the noodles in at the last minute.
The temperature has dropped this afternoon after a lovely sunny last few days, so am looking forward to the hot noodles.
( my eyes are always bigger than my belly when it comes to a bowl of noodles...)

We all seem to be favouring pasta and noodles.... There was more of the chop and sausage with beans than I thought so I had a butty with it cold for dinner (with olives of course!) and for tea I bulked what was left up with some of the tomato relish, cooked some spaghetti and had that. Pudding was apple and hard pears. These are a bit of a challenge at the moment because of my missing teeth so I stewed them until soft and had them with evaporated milk.

Son's choice of Braised Steak and Onions tonight. Am considering slipping some dumplings in, and I fancy Mashed Spuds. Veg still to be decided but I have a large selection to choose from...green beans, carrots, cabbage, broccoli, baby peas, cauliflower, brussel sprouts and zucchinis. Spoilt for choice, as usual. Think I have some fresh Mushrooms too. Always have loads of veg in the house...
Had a 'Cup of Soup' for lunch...just hope it holds me until evening meal.

Went out for lunch I had Melon with parma ham, chicken in mushroom sauce with french fries and ratatouille, and for desert chocolate cup which was chocolate sauce with coconut ice cream and chantilly cream followed by coffee with creme. Didn't need any tea but went to a party at night so there was a bit of a buffy but I wasn't hungry. Eileen

Butcher's day so I had a treat, burger and fried egg on two white teacakes (my bread had only just come out of the machine) for dinner. I made a fresh batch of tomato and onion relish. I pinched some of Jack's dog food and put what was left of the old batch of relish and a tin of beans in with it and that will do for butty filling and a sauce on rice for today. For tea I had pressed beef, tomato and olives on home made bread.
