You'll be saying the same thing in 20 years Ian....
Bodge, my problem is I've driven so many of those vintage vehicles when they were the latest thing!
It feels as though it could be a bit warmer later on.....

I've seen them on flight radar as well Kev. I suppose we could ask the question?
A video call with both my daughters yesterday at 15:00 with us, 21:00 with Margaret in Perth. various other family members popped in and out of shot..... Quite amazing!
The fact that replacing a tube in one of my kitchen fluorescents cured the drop out problem. However, they are giving notice and I want a good sparks to come in and put new units in. Apart from anything else I am too old to be climbing about and working over my head! Can anyone recommend a good electrician? Please?

Lots of 'interesting' posts over in Facebook land, a string of SpaceX Starlink satellites were seen last night and everyone has a different theory on what they were seeing.
Kev, the Cessna 404 Titan is the model of aircraft used by the Ordnance Survey to do their mapping. The one shown in the thumbnail photo is not in the usual OS colours but it might be contracted in from elsewhere.

I reckon it is, the ID of the plane shows it belongs to these people https://rvl-group.com
Found one I think, Karl Boothman. He says he will call me today. I shall report.....
I had another telephone call from what purported to be 'The NHS Shielding Unit'. Never heard of it and so I said thanks but no thanks and hung up. There are too many clever scammers out there, if this was one I don't want anything to do with it. If it wasn't, I can 'shield' myself thank you.

Karl has been and we are sorted, we know what we are doing and he starts Thursday morning and could well finish in the day. I am pleased......
(In case you're curious, we have settled on 5ft double element LED units. 2 in the kitchen and 4 in the workshop. Yes Ian that dog's breakfast is at last going.)

Haven't a clue Ian. I shall take whatever Karl recommends. I shall just be glad to get the possibility of imminent failure off my mind. I remember the last time I had a problem with the present lights. We shan't repeat that mistake!
I suspect my biggest jobs today will be avoiding Karl and getting my daytime sleep in!
Try this for an instant uplift in mood! My great grandson yesterday..... (And it isn't wind!)

He is Cathy and will soon be crawling, he's doing the turtle bit already. God knows what will happen when he starts talking.
Karl has done the kitchen lights and the two new smoke detectors. He's busy in the shed now. The new lights are tidy and very bright! He's putting 4 in the shed so I should have plenty of light in there as well!

We have our Anzac Day on Saturday April 25th.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, Australians are being asked to pay tribute to our Veterans a little differently this year.
Due to Covid-19 , mass Dawn Services have been cancelled.
Instead, Australians are being encouraged to stand at the end of their driveways, on their balconies or in their lounge rooms at 6.00am on Saturday - with their lit candles - to remember and pay their respects to those who served, and observe a minutes silence.
It is called ‘Light Up The Dawn’.
I know I'm in my own little world, but it's OK... they know me here.
National Archives are offering free to search. https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/abo ... downloads/
I think there is probably a better place on the site to post this, but couldn't find one dealing with family history matters.
Here are the lights in the shed, a bit of an improvement on before. I am going to enjoy having this light level.
Karl has finished, tidied up all the waste which he will dispose of and he's been paid. I am delighted with my light levels in the kitchen as well and the assurance that these units have a longer life expectancy than I have!
A good day!

The fact that the new lights showed up the dust on my computer monitor screen.
First day with no BET, I might get one of the new breed just to see how dire it is.
Karl, my sparks, said that when he told his parents he was doing my lights they sent their best and expressed their regret at losing the Stanley's View articles. Nice... The Talking newspaper will miss them as well, they tell me they were a weekly favourite.
