I once got caught in a Thunder bug infestation in Lincolnshire. I had to stop at a garage and blow the dead ones out of the wagon radiator, the engine was overheating.
29C forecast for Barlick today then 17C tomorrow.

The welcome change back to normal weather. Yesterday was great but too hot! Not natural at this time of year.

Never satisfied. How can it be back to normal but not natural, contradiction of terms methinks.

What's wrong with 27 degrees in the middle of summer anyway?

Be thankful you're not in southern California, it might reach 50 degrees this weekend. Even the Aussies might consider that a bit warm!

50C phew, not most Aussie’s cup of tea. Happens in our outback tho for sure.
I usually wilt after the low 30C’s.
I dare say in the US people will be dropping like flies if they haven’t experienced 50C before.

I used to like hot weather but now I start to feel unpleasantly stressed when it gets above 25C.

Speaking of Elon Musk. His Space-X Dragon capsule has just returned from the ISS. It splashed down about 90 minutes ago and was recovered onto one of the waiting ships. The recovery crew seemed to be having trouble opening the door. It took the best part of 45 minutes. Watching live at the moment and they have just extracted the first of the two returning astronauts. Second one has just emerged about 10 minutes later. Might need a re design on the hatch mechanism for future flights..

Triggered By Sue I approached my carer Susan and requested a pedicure. Caring Daughters are wonderful, she's coming tomorrow at 09:30 for a responsibly conducted pedicure. Low risk because she is tested regularly for Covid.
Got my Electoral Roll enquiry form yesterday. Does this mean there is a chance of an election soon or is just normal maintenance? No change, they haven't offered Jack a vote yet.

Standard procedure the new register is published in October each year.

Just checked the status of the delivery details for a mobile antenna that I ordered via Ebay from a Chinese supplier. I ordered it last Tuesday as you can see from the tracking data. Estimated delivery is 12th - 27th August. It has been in this country since Saturday and arrived with Royal Mail yesterday and is now marked as In Transit. If right is right I should have it a lot sooner than the estimated date.

How good an early night in bed is occasionally. I was sleepy so in bed and sleeping like a log at 21:00. Nature's remedy for everything!

It was delivered this morning at 9.00am. Good going really, you can wait longer than that for stuff to come from suppliers in this country.
