Home-made Cannelloni. Made the Tomato based Sauce this morning by slow roasting Tomatoes, Onions, Herbs, Red Capsicums, Tomato Paste, etc. (makes the house smell yummy)
Filled the pasta tubes, added the sauce, topped with cheese.
Stand back after serving or get killed in the rush!

You really don't want to know what I had for tea. It was the best meal I have ever had in France at a French auberge run by an English couple. What a combination, French recipe and English cooking. I feel stuffed!

Scrambled eggs on toast. We are eating tiny bantam eggs at the moment, lots of cracking to do but they are wonderfully rich and tasty.

Beautiful hens, lovely veggies! That cabbage looks healthier than me!
Boiled the salt out of some bacon ribs yesterday then casseroled them with tomato relish, baked beans. Had two small pork pies for dinner and after stripping the meat off the ribs I filled the pot with sliced potatoes and peas. At teatime I fried a big basket of chips and had a third of the casserole with chips for my tea and chucked the remaining chips in with the left overs. That's two meals for today with no cooking, just microwave. Doc called in just as I was dishing it up and commented that if Carol hadn't been cooking his tea he'd have had his feet under the table! (He looked hot and dirty because he's been dropping the ceiling in the kitchen but he looks well and is on schedule)

I note that your diet seems lacking in Veg, Stanley.
I made a Chicken Mornay, with Broccolini and Baby Peas. ( however, we have had 'words' between myself and son in recent days which has affected my appetite, so I only ate half of my serve. Also, Febby still isn't 100% right -we put it down to new medications -so he couldn't eat much either. Waste of effort cooking really!)
Sandwiches tomorrow at this rate...
