Kath gave me a small almost out of date brown loaf so two small pressed beef butties for dinner and two cheese butties plus a small pork pie for tea. Fruit for pudding! I have a large ham shank and some bacon ribs so I'll boil them, strip the meat and press into a loaf. Funny thing is Stuart sells ham shanks at £1.90 each, not weight and this is a big one. Waste not want not!

Sounds delicious Maz, spinach & eggs were meant to go together.
Old favourite of chicken cooked with home grown fennel in a creme fraiche sauce served with new potatoes and fresh picked green beans. A mix of strawberries, raspberries and blackcurrants for pud plus a dollop of ice cream. Wunnerful.

As I said...more Veg required in your diet Stanley...(it is all meat, bread, eggs and cheese)

I've made a creamy white sauce and added cauliflower florets and a tin of wild Alaskan Red Salmon, with Tarragon, Parsley, Dill, Chives an freshly ground Black Pepper. Will serve over Pasta.

I have some Fish Fingers in the freezer and have considered a butty with Fish Fingers, Cheese and Beetroot.
It could be messy though....probably couldn't trust Febby with such a culinary delight unless I stripped him naked and sat him on a sheet of plastic. Same with son. They are shockers for dropping food down their fronts.

Funny thing that, the Co-op hasn't had any fish fingers in for ages. Perhaps they've put them on a different shelf and not in the freezer compartment.

Maybe the poor fish have Leprosy and have lost all their digits...or maybe English Fish Fingers secretly contained horse meat?

Bingo! Son dribbled gravy down his top at dinner!

Exactly Tripps...the rest of us sit here (happily) laden with Veg!

I actually forgot to eat lunch today and only realised when I was wondering why my tummy was grumbling whilst cooking dinner...hadn't eaten for 12 hours...ah!...that would be the reason.
Funny how some days one has 'hungry' days and others where one doesn't even think about food. I tend to only eat when hungry on the days when hubby is at work ( hence missed lunch), but watch the clock more on days when hubby is home because he is pre-diabetic and gets grumpy if he has a 'hypo'. If I know we are going out, or going shopping etc, I give him a sandwich before we go ( dutiful wife that I am!).
Gosh...if he worked seven days a week...just think...I could be as thin as a Whippet!

Nowt wrong with meat pie and ice cream as long as you eat them separately! The jerked rib meat, beans and tomato casserole matured yesterday so I had some on a butty with olives for dinner and then mashed a big pan of spuds. I gave myself a treat and put whey butter in the mash.... Had the casserole and mashed potato for tea and there are two helpings left which caters for me today. Lovely grub.....

As forecast, Casserole and mash X 2. I'm roasting some lamb that was too dark for the general public so I got it cheap. Stewart didn't know why it was so dark, he thinks it was the breed. Nowt wrong with the meat, lovely flavour so I'll give it a browning and then make a hot pot.
