Would love to see them

Full of good intentions yesterday for my cross distribution but it didn't come off. Weather not too good, same this morning but there appeared to be a break this afternoon. I togged up and made my way down, by the time I had driven down to Gill it was chucking it down again. I waited in the car because it looked a bit brighter over Thornton way. Th rain stopped after about 15 mins so I got my gear and made a start. I always start and do the lower Cemetery first and work my way up. A problem straight away though, the headstones were soaked and with the not too bright afternoon light I couldn't read the engravings. I distributed to all the CWGC headstones as they are easy to pick out. Just got to the last one in the lower Cemetery and it started raining again. Not much point in continuing so I called it day for today. I know who I have missed so they will be the first port of call when I next go down, hopefully on a better day.

It will be a better day for it today Ian.
I shall continue work on Margaret's castings, we are quietly getting them in order!
Later. I've done an hour in the shed and now am knocking off to do my weekly Co-op shop, important to ge3t it done while there are very few in there. It's my way of cutting down the risk of infection reinforced by my mask and the fact I have gloves on as well from my shed work!

Morning

Typical November day, thick fog this morning. Its Briony's birthday, 9 already, seems no time since she was born. I shall whats app her this evening. Its also the anniversary of both Bobs and my Mums deaths, just two years apart to the day, so later this morning we shall pop over to Burnley cemetery with some flowers , to remember both of them, plus extra flowers for our Dads. Bobs Dad also died this first week in November. Briony has brought so much joy to this sad week. I have my last session at the pilates studio this morning for my one to one as obviously she will be shut again from tomorrow. In true form she is rallying everybody to be positive, putting extra classes on zoom and on facebook live, all at no extra cost. Its also our last lunch out at Todmorden at least for a month. I see that the numbers in Rochdale have started to fall this week, as have Greater Manchester overall, although in Oldham the numbers continue to soar and are now well over 700 per 100,000.

Yesterday was mainly a sewing day as I continue with my Christmas project, but I did a little archeology in the afternoon. I shall continue this afternoon and try and complete the third assessment.

Have a good day and keep positive

Only an hour in the shed but we have a crank that's the right size and shape and ready for being bored for the shaft and the crank pin.

There's still a bit to do here, it's nearly a year since we moved in. New doors and windows (that was August's cruise money :biggrin2: ) have been done and I've been making some changes to the heating, new radiator in the bathroom and updated the radiator valve, in the bedroom, to a TRV.
Still got some heating mods to do but that will have to wait until the spring, it's too cold now to be turning it off :biggrin2:

Enjoying the sunshine. :sunny3: We took the car down to Kelbrook then walked along the Old Stone Trough road into Foulridge, up around Noyna and back into Kelbrook via Cob Lane. It was warm and pleasant but we should have taken sunglasses! :cool4:

Indeed it is but I can't do anything today. We have delivery scheduled for between 11am and 3.00pm. Couriers have just rung and that will be in the next hour or so. Cant go after the delivery as Sally needs the car. Hoping it will be kinder weather for a couple of days.

We're taking advantage of the sunshine this afternoon too, also I'm just starting a shift rotation so won't have opportunity to get out in daylight until Sunday.

Nice walks all, good photos. We have been out for lunch, the views on the tops above Todmorden were stunning and the sun very bright in deed.

Morning

Lovely day yesterday once the fog lifted. It was still damp and dull when we went to the cemetery but lifted as we drove over to Todmorden. After lunch I tackled some archeology, making some notes and doing a bit of research on this third chapter. In the evening I started the third assessment and hope to finish that today.

Today I have pilates then I am expecting a phone call from the dentist. Last week they phoned and cancelled our check up yet again and said they would phone when they could do it. Was that OK? Bob said no it wasn’t and we insisted that someone contacted me about my tooth , it being over a month since they cancelled my filling. I wonder what notes they have been making along the way as the receptionist seemed to know nothing about the problem . The outcome is a phone-call this morning with the other dentist in the practice, as mine is now self isolating. Hopefully I will get somewhere.

Then I hope to do some more Christmas sewing , unless we go for a walk, and then round the day off with yoga.

Have a good day all.

Today I cleaned up the last of the castings and got it ready fro the next stages. The Horizontal Mill and a slab cutter are the best tools for this job. Two confident passes and the job's done!

I don't have any roses Maz but what I do have is two pans of veggies cooking. (I have a load of washing on the go as well.) No problems about ditching the shed, we are not on piece work!
