Una Stubbs has died aged 84.

I knew the name but had to look her up. I think I remember her in 'Til Death'.

One of her most recent roles was as Mrs Hudson in Sherlock.

Nancy Griffiths....... 'From a distance....' Lovely songs and voice. Could never understand why she didn't get more hits.

From A Distance rang a bell. Written by Julie Gold and sung by many.
Bette Midler sings it beautifully, and received a Grammy for her version.

Reports coming in that Austin Mitchell has died aged 86. He was an MP for 38 years.

RIP Comedian Sean Locke, 58. Very funny man

Peter Corby, inventor of the trouser press, has died aged 97. I was bought one as a Xmas present and still have it. If I have a suit occasion I still use it to press my trousers.

Don Everly last survivor of the sibling duo has died aged 84 RIP.

We saw them at the Manchester MEN a few years ago, they came on a Simon and Garfunkel Show for a couple of songs, wished they’d stayed on longer they were the better of the two duos.

Jimmy Greaves the footballer has died aged 81.

I'm probably the only one who remembers him for the interview in which he said that the Beiderbecke Trilogy was the best thing he'd ever seen on the TV.

I agreed at the time, and probably still do.

I'd certainly agree with him David. Just heard he's died.... Aged 81.

Robert Fyfe better known as Howard from Last of the Summer Wine has died at the age of 90.

I knew Pearl had passed, but not that Marina had also done so. I've a tape of her in depth take on Hilda Baker, which is very good.

I'm sorry to hear that, I always enjoyed him. (But news of 3 deaths in one obit is a bit depressing at my age!)
