Sorry Cathy no. Once again Kev has come up with the answer. It's a kitchen gadget for dusting flour or caster sugar over whatever you are preparing. I've never seen one and can't see how it is better than a simple shaker....

That's what I thought Ian but it looks like a silver handle which would be a bit smart for the dairy.

It's for cutting fancy cakes that would crumble if you used a knife. My mum has one.
