That's a good one. For some reason the back of my head is saying it's some sort of closing mechanism for a gate.....

Is it the 'foot' from a sewing machine?

Yes Kev, it is a foot hemmer from an old manual singer sewing machine.
That didn’t last long.

I've impressed myself there, my mum had a treadle operated Singer machine and the part looked familiar.

I reckon this will be easy...

It's the seat from part of a locking mechanism on a double-glazed window or door frame.

Lightning fast there Tizer, it is indeed. For a bonus pat on the back, in which room at Chez Kev is the window? :biggrin2:

I reckon it's the French doors, at the servants entrance round the back. :extrawink:

Not a word was heard.... If it doesn't get noticed by later this morning I shall come clean.
It's an old one, you've seen it before.

Is it something to do with chimneys - locomotives, boilers etc? It looks like a rail loco's chimney or safety valve.

No Idea really but riding on the back of Tizer's suggestions. Robert Stevenson's logo. Him of Rocket fame.

I was thinking of him too but then realised it was just because he's one of the most obvious and it would probably turn out to be someone less well-known. I haven't searched for him and his logo on google - we'll soon find out from SCG!

Sorry, you are all missing the obvious one. It used to be the logo for Hopkinson's of Huddersfield who made the best valves and boiler fittings in the world, bar none!
Next one?
