Quite right Ken, If you look carefully behind the rentamob you'll see a bloke semi-recumbent in a wheelchair. That's Terry Gissing who had done the same as you and vanished off the plot. He's got a rare variant of MN, there's always someone worse off than us! I was so glad to find he was still alive.....
I saw (and heard) that but didnt have my phone handy to check Flight Radar!

I'm presuming it was on it's way to Blackpool airport, ready for the Southport Airshow this weekend.

Nicely picked out and no cut marks on the arris from using a cutting disc on the vertical joints. Looks like Young Tom's work.....
The old mortar looks to be in good condition.......

Good pics as usual Peter......
What grabbed me was that once more in Barlick we appeared to be at the same temperature as the North of Scotland and I slept like a log again last night.......

Steeplejerk posted a great video, from the top of Bancroft chimney, on the Barnoldswick Talk Facebook page. Well worth a look if you're on that group, it's a long way off the ground

Well done Tom! Bit of an improvement on Peter and his old box Brownie!
(It dawned on me that there will be people reading this who don't know what a Box Brownie is so I include this LINK)

During the Indian Summer I have discarded layers but this morning it was much cooler and I am back into socks, a vest and heavier trousers. This is about right for this morning, we are well down into single figures and I note that in Scotland this morning there is a frost in some of the higher glens, the first since early June.
I think there is little doubt about it, we are into Autumn now....

`Photographs that shaped the urban landscape' LINK Images of the often brutal urban landscapes of late 1960s Britain - captured by photographers working for the Architectural Review - can now be seen at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in London. Pictures by Ian Berry, Patrick Ward and Tony Ray-Jones, many of which have never been exhibited before, were taken as part of a series called Manplan. Its aim was to analyse the state of architecture and urban planning in Britain at that time.

Thanks for that link - it's amazing what can be captured in a black and white photo. Love the Salvation ladies under the Empire statue, (bathos?) and the choir boy drummers - "The Church Militant". Glad I bought Daniel Meadows' book.
These architects don't seem to learn though do they? The Southern approach to Cambridge makes me think of down town Cairo at the moment. Flat rooves, sandy coloured, but costing £plenty. No dreaming spires here - actually that was Oxford.
Street view hasn't caught up with the situation yet, but I've watched them being built, over a number of years. I don't like it.
