No Tom, not that old. Clue, think of a type of wagon wheel that is obsolete and has been for a long time but was universal 60 years ago...... This tool was needed for changing a tyre......

That's the one Kev, for removing the spring rim on '3 piece' wheels. You're right, tubeless tyres demanded one piece rims and the 3 piece wheels became obsolete.
