Worn if one leg was short Cathy. My mother had that problem after childhood Polio.

Yes, I've been using spatulas for much of my working life and still use them in my hobbies . Very useful. I've got several like that plus a very small one and also ones which have a wide flat blade at one end and a spoon shape at the other.

I've also got a range of rulers of different shapes, sizes and different materials - wood, metal, plastic. My oldest ones are 6-inch steel rulers which all came from my father, some given to me as a child and others inherited later. He worked for Philips as a supervisor making radio valves, then transistors and those 6-inch steel rulers were everywhere! At school I always had one in my blazer pocket together with pens, pencils, eraser etc. Note that I wrote eraser and not rubber - I don't want any Americans to get the wrong idea about my childhood!

Tom and Peter have it. This is a very small one made from Stainless Steel and I think it was used by a dentist for mixing up the amalgam they used to use for tooth fillings.
Next One?

No Kev, too small and rigid. From what I know about it that hole in it isn't much bigger than an inch.
Clue it's a component part of something larger.
