The last one I remember it on was a can of corned beef. Canned sardines too if I remember rightly.

Sorry Cathy I missed your post. Corned beef was the main one but t6hey seem to have simple rip open rings now....

The very early Spam tins had keys Wendy. Look up vintage spam tins and look at the images, that's what I did....

A further exhibit - and a handy hint - always protect you hand by covering the lid with a tea cloth, when removing the remainder of the can after using the key. They sometimes spring into life. Trust me. . . . :smile:

Re the can key, I remember them on cans of sardines and corned beef. I’m surprised that some manufacturers still use them, I felt like I was going back in time when I saw the pic. :laugh5:

I've decided this is ridiculous and annoying to all concerned. It's called a soul patch or Jazz Dab and don't ask me why!
